Our charming 5* dog-friendly cottage, a short walk from a dog-friendly beach and nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, in the small peaceful seaside hamlet of Trusthorpe, offers you the perfect seaside holiday home experience. We are proud to have achieved over 60 5-star reviews from all of our guests since we opened in the summer of 2021, and we promise you won’t be disappointed!Sandpiper Cottage is a spotlessly clean, sunny, detached bungalow, which is extremely spacious, comfortable and welcoming, being maintained by the owners, Val and David, to a very high standard.
Midway between Sutton-On-Sea and Mablethorpe on the Lincolnshire coast, Sandpiper Cottage is perfectly situated for exploring all the area has to offer, and is only a short drive to a host of Lincolnshire’s many attractions. As well as full weeks, we also offer short breaks: 3 nights Fri-Mon and 4 nights Mon-Fri. Please enquire for our best rate.

Sandpiper has ample off-road parking for two cars in the drive and has secure garage storage for cycles.
Sandpiper Cottage offers two large, airy double bedrooms – one kingsize with an ensuite shower room (with sink and toilet), and the other with twin beds, adjacent to our sparkling, fully-tiled family bathroom.
Both bedrooms have comfortable beds with quality bed linen and comfy pillows. Along with plenty of storage space, personal safe, hairdryers, smartphone chargers/alarm clocks, etc., there is everything you could need for a perfect holiday.
The large, modern and well-equipped dining kitchen has everything you need to cook a great meal, and includes an electric Hob and new electric double Oven, Fridge/freezer, Microwave, Air Fryer, filter Coffee machine, Dishwasher and Washer/dryer. A door from the kitchen leads into our conservatory, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable alternative eating and relaxing area, looking out onto our pretty, private, and secure garden.
Move through into our cosy lounge with two comfy leather recliners and sofa, and a 55” Samsung Smart TV with NOW TV, Sky Sports, Amazon Prime and Freeview available free to our guests. Complimentary ultra-fast free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Through French windows, the lounge leads onto a private terrace with a bistro table and chairs, where you can enjoy your morning coffee whilst planning the day’s adventures. There are sun loungers and beach towels available.

A lovely week ...

It’s a real home from home and has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay with a lovely garden and within easy walking distance to a dog friendly beach. We particularly enjoyed the walk from Trusthorpe to Sandilands.

A wonderful place to stay
By Carol B on 11-Apr-2026Sandpiper Cottage is a wonderful place to stay—warm, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need. The facilities are excellent, and we especially loved starting our mornings with coffee and spending sunny afternoons relaxing in the conservatory. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the bathrooms were spotless and well-appointed. It’s also a fantastic choice if you’re travelling with a dog—the cottage is genuinely dog-friendly, the beach is a very short walk away and the treats left for both us and our four-legged companion were a lovely, thoughtful touch. The only minor issue during our stay was that the dishwasher broke part-way through. While it couldn’t be repaired at the time, David and Val were proactive, responsive, and did everything they could to help, which we really appreciated. Same in responding to a couple of questions we had. Overall, a delightful stay—we’d happily return and highly recommend Sandpiper Cottage to others.
Wow, what a find!
By Donna Wooltorton on 26-Apr-2026Wow what a find, this lovely holiday home from home, peaceful, clean warm and comfortable accommodation. The beach on the doorstep was just great for our dog. The garden is completely secure which always makes a holiday better for us, knowing that our dog is secure. Everything we needed was available in the bungalow. We would certainly recommend this perfect accommodation and will be visiting again. Thanks for letting us stay us stay.
A lovely stay
By Sandra Bell on 27-Feb-2026We have just had a week at Sandpiper cottage and our stay was lovely. There was everything you need for a very nice break. The weather was cold windy and wet, but the cottage was lovely and toasty, very comfortable and we were able to watch the big television. We had a welcome pack for us and one for Alex our dog also milk in the fridge. Thank you very much Val and David for making Sandpiper so comfortable. We will hopefully book again next year.

By Tony Elgie on 07-Mar-2026Just spent a lovely 4 days at the bungalow in the best weather of the year so far. There was everything we could possibly need, and it was immaculately clean. The dogs loved the fully enclosed garden and all the lovely walks nearby. Loads of nice treats for us and the dogs left for us by our hosts which made it feel very special.
