You are also just seconds away from The Crown and The Globe, two of Wells’ best pubs/restaurants.
A grand communal entrance hall leads to the apartment, which being on ground level with no internal steps, is perfect for guests of all generations.

Very spacious, well equipped and comfortable
By Hartshorn on 19-Nov-2024We've stayed in Wells for many years and, for the last few, have stayed in three different flats in Monteagle. Of these, the garden flat is our favourite. Very spacious, very well equipped and comfortable. The wood burner is great on a chilly November evening, too! We love Wells, especially at this time of the year. The Crown, Globe and Bang are all excellent place to eat and drink, and Staithe St is a lovely place to mooch about for a few hours. We also love the walk to the beach, and sometimes you can see the seals too.
Very pleasant and spacious

Wonderful

Very clean and well appointed
By Levett on 28-Nov-2025Another return visit to our beloved Wells and North Norfolk. This time, however, we brought my partner's father who has some mobility issues. Being able to have the accommodation all on one level with separate bathrooms, including a walk-in shower for him, was perfect. The flat itself was very clean and well appointed. We didn't eat in much this visit as we chose to show him the delights of the local eateries, of which he was most impressed! He was also full of praise for the accommodation so the weekend was a success! We enjoyed the food, as always! We always visit the Crabhouse when we stay in Wells, but we also ventured out to some places we had not before. My partner and I visited Holkham to partake in 'Holkham by candlelight', which was delightful. It was actually the first time we went into the house, despite all our trips there.
Great Location
By Woodcock on 19-Dec-2025Lots of space for us to stretch out and relax. Great location between two great pubs. Clean and full of what you need. The log fire really made it cosy. The features in the hallway and the flat were lovely . And the Christmas decorations and tree.
