Perfect Coastal Holiday
By THE CORNISH FAMILY on 24-Aug-2019
We had a fantastic week in the Tudors Cottage, 5 adults, one 2 year old toddler and our very well behaved Dachshunds. Everyone was very comfortable and the cottage suited all our needs. It was very well equipped with plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing. There was plenty of toys for the our grandson to play with. The enclosed garden was great for the dogs and the toddler with a different corner to explore everyday, our youngster loved playing in the wooden built wendy house and would come trotting out with pretend cups of tea. Weather was great the whole week. The area is so beautiful and we did some excellent walks in the surrounding woods and along the beach, plus many car trips to local villages and towns including Cromer and Sheringham .The local Pub provided good pub food and it was dog friendly. The Tesco store is just up the road and was great for the many things we needed Many thanks to Sandra you have lovely a cottage and we would love to stay again.

We had a very enjoyable week in this cottage which is ideally located for both the coast and broads. There is a lot to do in the area and for anyone there in the summer we would definitely recommend the Cromer pier show. Both Cromer and Sheringham are only a short walk away along the coast. Cottage is very spacious with a lovely conservatory which we spent most of our time in.
A Truly Homely Property

The minute we stepped into The Tudors we fell in love.. the property is large in size but very cosy at the same time. It is furnished in a traditional style with plenty of home comforts. There is everything you need and more, from a well-equipped kitchen, a superb shower in the bathroom, super comfortable beds and sea views from two bedrooms, and comfy sofas and chairs in the lounge and choice of two dining tables! The dining room has a very ornate feel to it and can imagine sitting there to eat in the colder months. The second dining table is situated in the conservatory - however, this is more than a conservatory! It is a massive area - to eat in, to sit and relax in, to play games in, to doze in - it really makes the property. We spent most of our time in there. The garden is fully enclosed and ideal for dogs and kids and is not overlooked. There is parking to the front for a couple of cars. The Tudors is situated just a five minute walk from the local village shop which supplies essentials and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The beach is only a ten minute walk down the side of a field - it has a slope down to beach and a small cafe at the end.. also a car park and toilets. It is great for paddling and rock pooling. Sheringham and Cromer only five minute drive away. Can highly recommend Shire Horse Centre, The Mo Museum at Sheringham, the North Norfolk Railway and the Pier at Cromer. A little further up the coast Blakeney and Wells are good for crabbing. The fish and chips at East Runton are very good. This again has a good beach. All in all the property and situation in our opinion was just perfect and will be returning again soon.

We found that ‘the Tudors’ could not have been a more perfect place for us to stay on the North Norfolk coast! As two couples, the house provided us with everything that we wanted. Splendidly equipped and furnished, with a huge conservatory that we virtually lived in for most of our stay, our accommodation gave us the environment where we could relax and enjoy both the house and its surroundings. It was a perfect location for our two golfing enthusiast husbands, situated only 10 minutes from two spectacular golf courses in Cromer and Sheringham, with the added bonus of a challenging 9-hole course only 2 minutes walk away in West Runton itself. Whilst they golfed, we enjoyed some beautiful walks through the extensive National Trust forests and along the sea cliffs. Although there were plenty of marvellous places to dine, the Tudor’s kitchen was so well-equipped that we decided to enjoy some of the locally-purchased fresh crabs and fish and cook for ourselves. There was so much to see and do that we cannot wait for another opportunity to get back there!! We cannot praise the Tudors highly enough.

Everything you could wish for in a seaside holiday

We spent a wonderful two weeks at the Tudors this summer. The house is spacious, airy and every comfort is catered for. The kitchen is particularly well resourced and the conservatory is chocked full of toys which kept our children happy for many an hour - so much so that it was often their wish not to go out at all, but to stay at the house all day! The bedrooms are comfortable with sea views and it was lovely to hear the waves crashing whilst dropping off to sleep on a stormy night. The large garden gave us even more room to spread out in.
The area is perfect; a few minutes walk from the gorgeous beach which was practically empty when we walked our dog in the early mornings and late afternoons - although it was pretty popular on the very sunny days. The area is rich in history and we enjoyed learning about the West Runton elephant and rhino skeletons which had been found on the local beach, and we even found a couple of fossils ourselves! We would highly recommend a stay at the cottage in any season.
