Just back from a very relaxing week staying in Anchor Cottage which is comfortable and in an excellent position. Everything you need is 2 minutes walk away just over the bridge so you can park the car and not use it again all week.
We spent two days on a boat exploring the broads which is a must, we also went on one of the Broad tours which we all enjoyed. We spent many an hour fishing (on the boat and from the garden) and caught perch, roach and rudd but sadly no pike!
The weather was kind and we had sun all week although it's only in the garden until lunchtime so we went to the other side of the river either to the large pub garden or for a walk to maximise our time in the sunshine.
If you enjoy sitting and watching the world go by then you can't fail to enjoy staying here as there is always something to see on the river. From the swans, geese and ducks which love to be fed to watching the large boats navigate the very low bridge, with a glass of wine in hand it's a very pleasant way to spend a week.

Lovely river-front location for relaxing time
By Ksdad on 20-Jan-2018
These are modern and very pleasant cottages, facing directly onto the river very close to Wroxham bridge. Although the cottages will accommodate 8 or maybe 9, there were only 4 of us - 2 for some of the time - which attracts a discount. There is a very comfortable lounge with TV etc and seating outside with excellent views of the river, the boats and the wildlife. There is a fence in the outside area so that children cannot run and fall into the river. Perhaps unusually for rental property, we found the beds to be very comfortable. The location is very convenient for shops and also for hiring day boats. All in all, a great place for a holiday or short break
Anchor cottage fun

Had an excellent August Bank holiday weekend at anchor cottage. We stayed for 3 nights with plenty of space for all 8 of us. Simple to book, easy to find with great directions sent out, plenty of parking, lovely house spread over three floors, clean, tidy with out door space for fishing & boat hire. Will definitely be staying here on our next visit to Wroxham.
Anchor Cottage, Wroxham
By Sally Willers on 19-Jan-2018
Loved this cottage, three generations went, myself & husband, my daughter & grandchildren. Everything was to hand, loads of space for us all. The teenagers found loads to do rowing, cycling etc. We hired a boat for all of us which was great fun & moored for lunch at the pub. We all went to Norwich & had a good day, shopping for me, castle & sites etc for others. Loved being close to all amenities can't praise the place enough. Just to sit outside and watch the world go by and feed the ducks was all so relaxing. Had loads of fun some evenings with the games you provided. One little downfall was the shower in the en suite was only a dribble really, but that was just a minor thing to us everything else was great. The deposit was also put back in my bank as soon as we got back really lovely holiday, thankyou. Would hope to come again.

We had a lovely break at Anchor Cottage with friends.
The staff were very helpful from booking right through to returning our security deposit very promptly at the end of our stay.
The cottage was immaculate and well equipped with everything we needed. I completely agree with the comment about the shower pressure though. Not enough hot water either.
Central location within a quiet cul-de-sac in Wroxham was great, easy walking distance to Roys as well as places to eat/drink. We used the cottage as a base to explore other areas of the Broads and coast.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage to others.
March In Anchor Cottage
By Billfisherleiston on 19-Jan-2018
We picked a week in which the weather threw everything at us! Solid rain for two days, then freezing cold, with frequent snow. The cottage though is warm, and watching the snow flakes falling over the river from the comfort of the sofa- was a lovely sight.
Fishing outside on the decking is comfortable, but more than 1 person would be 'snug'!
If you want a relaxing break, with all the comforts of home,- this is the place
Perfect location and fantastic for everyone inc young families
By Flossy1977 on 19-Jan-2018
We stayed for a long weekend at Anchor Cottage. It was very clean and well equiped - even with wifi. Our 3 year old loved feeding the ducks from the decking and waving at the passing boats - it kept him amused for hours!
We also enjoyed a glass of wine or two outside in the evening
Its a fantastic location - only a five minute walk over the bridge for the shops, pubs etc, yet still quiet and peaceful at the cottage. We hired a dayboat just a few minutes away and spent all afternoon cruising down the river.
Would thoroughly recommend it for everyone.
What a great place to stay!

We have stayed in a number of places in Norfolk and Anchor Cottage is by far the best. The accommodation is situated right in the heart of Wroxham (actually on the waters edge) and as such in walking distance (5.minutes) of the shops and restaurants. The cottage itself is of a really high standard including modern amenities and wifi. It was spotlessly clean and fresh with everything you'd expect from high class accommodation. The locals made us feel welcome and because of the secluded cul-de-sac location you didn't feel like a holiday maker!
Our week at Anchor Cottage went too quickly, it was so relaxing, we actually felt like we'd had a holiday. This is definitely somewhere we will return to - highly recommend,
