This was a beatiful place to stay. Very quiet, clean, and like a home from home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in 1 The Diary. The accommodation was very clean and well appointed. It’s in a very convenient and peaceful location with easy access to the whole island. Kristina was discreet but ensured that we had everything we needed. We are only sorry that we only stayed four nights! We had a lovely stay at newclose farm. The lovely Hugo made it particularly entertaining for my little girls and the owners were very friendly and kind. The property was well equipped with everything you could need and it was really comfortable. We would definitely stay again. Would Recommend: Yes Tips for other travellers Crabbing off Yarmouth pier at high tide is a favourite of ours. We had a lovely meal at the Waterfront in Totland Bay, a real treasure! Steephill cove is a bit of a drive but well worth it and make sure you go at low tide to enjoy the beach at its biggest! All the cafes and restaurants at steephill are fab!
1 Dairy Cottage is beautiful. Everything was clean and tidy, fabulous hosts, parking right outside the door, and the location was ideal. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need and having an en-suite in each bedroom was a real bonus. The sunny patio was perfect for morning coffee and a glass of something cold in the early evening. The sprawling cherry trees in the garden gave welcome shade from the sun. The bbq was much appreciated for the warm evenings, as was the hot tub. We met all of Kristina’s family, including Jess the cat who was a regular visitor. All in all we had a really wonderful break and will definitely be back next time we visit the Island.
Character property, well maintained, very peaceful farm location suitable, ideal for us as the wedding we attended was close by. Hot Tub in the courtyard was excellent.
The cottage we stayed in is styled for comfort - both light & airy, and warm & cosy. Loved the outside areas for enjoying a drink at the end of the day. Well appointed kitchen with easy to use appliances. Super comfortable bed! And so, so quiet at night. Would personally like a TV in the bedroom, and maybe a foot stool in the lounge? But we would stay here again anyway :-)
