Overview
Description
A traditional Turkish Cypriot cottage in Upper Ozankoy with a large secluded and quiet garden, a private 10 x 5m swimming pool regularly maintained by Cyprus Pools Ltd, vine terrace, stone arched veranda for shaded summer living and lovely sea and mountain views.Situated on a quiet road up to Bellapais with its lovely Abbey. The garden is surrounded by stone walls or hedge, so is secure and private and contains many citrus trees, avocado, peaches, apricots, figs etc, as well as flowering shrubs and palm trees. There are some large cypress trees giving welcome shade in summer. The house has a sitting room with open fire, a dining hall, a kitchen and downstairs toilet. Upstairs is a large sun deck and 2 en-suite bedrooms with an interconnecting lockable door. There is an outside staircase and a steep inside stairway.
Next to the pool stands the Winter House , built recently to make the most of the winter sun. This has now been extended to provide self contained accommodation for two, with a sitting room, small kitchen and a double bedroom with ensuite shower room. This makes for ideal two generation family stays, or more space for larger families. These two houses are never let independently. The price includes the winter house
The garden is large, leafy, private and secluded and contains quite a few einteresting plants. plenty The house was built in Ottoman times, and was modernised in the 1990s. We are currently modernising the kitchen which will be for the 2025 letting season

Horrible
By Gilbey on 01-Aug-2026Rundown and tatty Ripped bedding horrible beds was more like a bad hostel the grounds were overgrown and unkempt, the kitchen was filthy on arrival and coved in ants Air con was broken in one bedroom and had need reported before and was not fixed until we complained The property is being marketed as a holiday home you can tell most of the reviews are either family or friends this property is not suitable for a holiday let the standard is very poor there is northing nice about it .we moved out after 4 days as we were eaten alive possibly from bed mites as the bites were on our backs mostly, everything in the property is either old or dirty as for the winter house it is also dirty and did not even have anywhere to hang our clothes as the wardrobe was full of dirty bedding. The sheets we’re disgusting and ripped in places I felt dirty using the shower as it looked filthy the tiles were all dirty on the floor as was the tiles in the showers, the bedding in the main house was a ripped duvet cover it should all have gone in the bin years ago We were lucky to acquire a beautiful apartment by carrington who I highly recommend as their properties are of a very high standard and immaculate, we have been going to the north for over 15 years and this is the worst rental I have had the misfortune to stay in . I cannot recommend this to anyone
Wonderful
By Tom & Ann Eccles on 19-Jun-2025This was our first time back there after a few years and it did not disappoint. Lovely grounds with your own swimming pool. We have the same company to pick us up at the airport arrange a hire car and then take us back after - superb.
Amazing stay
By Tony on 12-Jun-2025Fantastic villa, well equipped and maintained. Three double rooms, one in a separate building which is useful for active couples. The owner has a contact to get customers from the south direct to the villa and car rent. They were waiting for us at the airport, fantastic. A welcome pact of milk, eggs and other fresh goods was a nice surprise and very welcome. (A cold beer was very welcome). The garden is well established and for those interested it was good to see a variety of different fruiting and flowering large plants and trees. Encouraged to pick anything you need if ripe, a fresh lemon with my Gin was lovely.
A little piece of Heaven
By Geraldine Patterson on 07-Jul-2024We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Once those gates open you enter a little piece of heaven. The house is quirky and has a beautiful veranda to relax and dine on. If you prefer more modern accommodation you have that too with the pool house. Marian was a delight to correspond with as was Kemal, the gentleman who looks after the house. I miss my morning walks in the beautiful village..hope to return one day..🙏💖
Peaceful
By Hilary and Jeff on 02-Jun-2024This was our second stay in the cottage and on both occasions we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Although this year the weather was very hot the veranda and pool helped us to cool off. The welcome items in the fridge were greatly appreciated
PETIT MENAGE
By Mrs Hilary Jenkins on 21-Jun-202321stJune 23. Dear Pauline, We are just doing our packing and are being picked up at 6.30 p.m. Staying in your house has been a pleasure, we love it. The garden is a delight and I rather wished you had been here to explain all about the shrubs etc. We had a taxi driver who took us everywhere we wanted to go. Many thanks Jeff and Hilary
