A little slice of Heaven away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. You will feel very relaxed anytime of the day here as it is so lovely, quiet and peaceful, just the sound of the odd dog bark or the birds in the trees. The pool is so inviting, sun all day, set in a spacious beautifully kept mature garden, with loungers, chairs and tables for you to use. Oriole Gite, is spotlessly clean, bright and airy. It has everything you need in the kitchen to enjoy making tasty French meals to enjoy in the comfy dinning area inside or better still enjoy in your own private terrace or garden. Downstairs you also have a comfy sofa to relax in the evening enjoying the games or books provided, a bathroom with power shower and an enormous bath to sink into. Leading upstairs you have a large changing area, storage and a king sized bed, beautiful bedding, nestled under a skylight, blinds there, but who wants to block out the amazing view of the stars! Open beams also add to it’s warmth and charm. If your looking for a real get away… Look no further!
Almost a home from home downstairs quite modern: a kitchen supplied with many cooking utensils, a micro wave, toaster and washing machine. The bathroom had a over bath power shower, but it was the size of the bath that took us by surprize...it was very huge! The living/dinning room was roomy and relaxing to spend the evening. They also supplied and interesting mix of books and a DVD player to play your own music on. Upstairs amongst the open wooden beams(beautiful) is the bedroom in ''Oriole'' we had a dressing room first (great to store all the cases) along with hanging space and big dressing table with lots of draws. In the roof is a velux window if you like to watch the stars. Outside of '' Oriole'' you have a small private garden with table and chairs to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner or to sit and enjoy the view. The grounds and distant views are breath taking trees, fields, hills and more trees as far as the eye can see. The ''sound of silence'' will ring in your ears as you relax on loungers or chairs by the very inviting pool or take a dip or swim in it sparkling warm blue water. Location wise it is situated in a very good place to visit Toulous, Albi, Castres to name a few. Castres is a fantastic place to eat, many places French restaurants, including a square with fountain, to eat, but also where you''ll find food from around the world. The owners supply very detailed instructions as how to find the Gites which is very helpful when your tired after a long drive. Also a book with lots of information of what to do and places to visit. Oh! mustn''t forget you must visit ''lac de la bancaile'' only about 10 minutes from the Gites just to look at the breath taking scenery or have a dip in the warm fresh water. All in all we had a fantastic 2 week visit in August 2017 and look forward to visiting again soon.
