A wonderful place to stay

By Jill O’Hara on 22-Jun-2024

The Cottage was very well appointed and in a convenient location for getting around on public transport. The owners looked after us very well. On arrival we found milk, teabags and a delicious homemade cake. The bedrooms were attractive and comfortable. The furnishings, pictures and ornaments in the lounge made it feel like a home, not like a holiday let. There were books, leaflets about places to visit in the area, jigsaw and Wi-Fi. There was a small, pretty garden at the back with table and chairs. I would love to go back and might do so but Devon is a long way from Ambleside…..

One week stay

Very comfortable cottage so conveniently located for walking, shopping and cinema. Particularly appreciated safe private parking space after unloading car at cottage.

Lovely cottage in perfect location

By Kate E. on 08-Jul-2023

We had a wonderful stay in Bryony cottage which was spotless and well equipped . Despite being only a few minutes walk into the centre, it was in a very quiet and peaceful location with lovely views. The owners Helen and Steve were very welcoming and helped to reserve a space for our car outside the cottage on arrival which was much appreciated. For the rest of the week we made good use of the buses which is a perfect hassle free way to get around and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Would not hesitate to re-book for a future stay.
