Stayed for a weekend at this lovely apartment Very spacious, extremely comfortable,Furnished and equipped to a very high standard with the added bonus of the outside terrace overlooking the river Stock Gyhill , perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine and watching the world go by. Ideal location in the centre of beautiful Ambleside, lots of walks and hikes nearby for all abilities, easy access to shops and the many restaurants and bars . Highly recommended
This was our sixth 'October' stay at the Rock Shop flat and once again we had a wonderful time. We have already booked to return again in October 2020. The apartment is just perfect. It is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, well equipped and very cosy. It is ideally situated, with plenty of shop, pubs and lovely restaurants close by. There are also beautiful walks direct from the doorstep and just a short walk to Waterhead Pier, where you can catch steamers to Bowness. The new balcony is also an added bonus, with splendid views. Joanne always leaves welcoming goodies, which is so thoughtful.
We love the Rock Shop flat for its proximity to the park, endless choice of walks from the door, shops, restaurants and cinema so that whatever the weather there is a huge choice of things to do. We've had several holidays in this beautiful, very well equipped apartment and each time have found something new to delight us. This year we discovered the newly built amazing glass balcony and spacious utility room with storage for bikes which is also a very useful drying area and boot room. Sitting outside for breakfast on the balcony or reading in the sun with the sound of the beck in the background was wonderful. We also enjoyed a complimentary swim and use of the outdoor hot tub at the next door hotel - another new addition to the treats in store at the Rock Shop flat ..... oh and newly installed SKY Q too. What more could anyone want?
