Description
Welcome to our beautiful 5* mediaeval tithe barn, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.Spacious, comfortable and painstakingly restored, the Tithe is uniquely placed in a peaceful rural location, while being just a short walk from the centre of thriving Ashburton, with its renowned food, culture and antique shops.
Indoors, the Tithe Barn offers three very large bedrooms, all with luxury ensuite bathrooms; a utility and drying room; a chef's kitchen and large dining table; an open plan living space with comfortable chairs and large sofas, giant TV and wifi; and a huge games room with table tennis and pool.
Outdoors there is a private patio with gas BBQ and dining area; ample parking; a nature pond and orchard; a play area for kids with swings and slide; two mown fields to exercise dogs and children.
Just minutes up the lane, Dartmoor offers wilderness, walking and adventure, while the famed South Hams beaches are just a 30 minute drive.

Excellent value for money.

The barn itself was spotless, with really comfy bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen, and a brilliant games room. Excellent value for money. It’s in a great location to explore Dartmoor and the nearby coast, and George was a fantastic host with great recommendations and efficient communication. Will definitely stay again!

By Serena on 17-Feb-2024We couldn’t have loved our stay at Tithe Barn more! A stunning property with loads of comfortable room, especially for only the two of us! George was utterly helpful throughout the process and we certainly appreciated our cream tea on arrival and sourdough bread and homemade jam later in the stay. The weather for our visit was beyond wet but that made it that much better to come back to our home from home to hang out and listen to the sounds of rain outside. Would totally recommend this property, though part of us wants to keep it for ourselves

By Amber on 12-Dec-2023We loved our stay in Ashburton. The barn is so beautiful and spacious. Our boys really enjoyed the games room. George and Rosie were super friendly and helpful. Kitchen was very well equipped and the bathrooms superb. It was an easy walk down to town where there were lovely shops and cafes. We hope to come again!

The barn conversion is excellent ~ really well designed with lots of space on the ground floor and 3 spacious bedrooms all with extremely well fitted en suite bath/shower rooms complete with quality and environmentally friendly toiletries. The kitchen and separate utility room are really well equipped. Overall, the attention to detail was outstanding. Additionally, ease of parking was a real bonus. George & Rosie live in the farmhouse (50 metres away) and were real super-hosts. George responded immediately to a couple of minor requests and was always available without being intrusive ~ in addition, his scones and sourdough bread were the 'icing on the cake'. We can't recommend this property and its hosts highly enough ~ everything was true to the descriptions and the accommodation truly enhanced our enjoyment of our stay.
