Description
In walking distance to the picturesque medieval village Villasavary, the villa - LE CLOS TRANQUILLE - is set in 4000m2 of secluded private garden with a heated pool and parking onsite. The house has been renovated in 2022/23 and transformed into a beautiful family home with all the modern features.Nestled into the countryside of the Lauragais regions, it has stunning views over the acres and acres of sunflower fields and the rolling hills nearby.
The villa has 4 spacious bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and plenty of living space to comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. Dogs are welcome! Maximum 2 at any time.

- A large, modern fully equipped kitchen/dining area (30m2) with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, induction cooker, and all utensils needed to prepare great homemade meals. Dining table for 8 people.

The entire ground floor is without any steps (including showers) - perfect for guests that might have walking difficulties. Doors, however, are not compliant for wheelchairs.

LE CLOS TRANQUILLE - the quiet enclosure - is the perfect relaxing getaway for unwinding, walking, cycling or exploring the historical and cultural Cathar region! Le Clos Tranquille is set in a rural area, enclosed by Cyprus trees and surrounded by sunflower fields. There is plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors and unwind.
The view towards 'Les Collines' - small rolling hills, is fabulous and the numerous walking and cycling trails invite for discovery!
The Cathar Country, as this areas is called, is rich in history (cathars and romans), has splendid landscapes with hills, rivers, lakes, forests and beautiful villages. Colourful markets, fantastic wineries and restaurants and offers a vast selection of outdoor activities for kids and adults equally!
The market town of BRAM is only 8mins away and offers a number of shops, supermarkets and restaurants as well as a weekly market, a SUMMER ANIMATION PROGRAM from mid June to mid September every year. It includes open air cinema, workshops for kids, games, theatre, music, restauration or historic walks to name a few.
The UNESCO world heritage sites the walled city of Carcassonne, the largest and most spectacular castle in Europe, is only 25mins away. The Canal du Midi is 10mins away. The seaside is 60mins away, Toulouse / Toulouse Airport 40mins.

By Marcel M. on 24-Aug-20249/10 - We were here for one week in August 2024. It is a very nice place which was renovated nicely. The facilities were very sufficient. The kitchen was very well equipped. The pool had some issues but these were solved very efficiently and quick thanks to Petra and her great team. Petra shared great tips for sightseeing trips in the area. The house is cool even though it was very hot. Communication went very well and efficient. We were welcomed by Christelle who was very kind. We could have stayed another week easily without getting bored as its a really nice place to disconnect, relax and enjoy the environment and each other. We highly recommend this beautiful and pleasant place.
10/10 Definitely worth repeating!

A fabulous week at Le Clos Tranquille
By Alex Scott on 06-Aug-2024We had a fabulous week at Le Clos Tranquille and would definitely recommend staying here. It’s a lovely spacious house, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a fantastic holiday and decorated and furnished beautifully. The gardens are also beautiful and provide a large space for relaxing at the outdoor tables and chairs or the loungers around the pool. We were in the pool all through our stay which was a perfect way to cool down on the hot sunny days. We took our dog with us who had a great time exploring the gardens and was always safe sniffing around the property. It’s a fantastic location to explore for a holiday, we had day trips to Carcassonne, Gruissan, Mirepoix, Limoux, Castelnaudary, Bram, walks along the Canal du Midi, beaches, village markets all fabulous. Petra and Paul were extremely welcoming and provided lots of fantastic tips on places to go and restaurants to try. They were also more than happy to help with any questions and we felt thoroughly welcome in their beautiful home. We were visiting to check out the area for a potential move that way in the future and we are definitely sold!

Simply Perfect
By Joy deadman on 26-May-2024Le Clos tranquille is everything you imagine it to be and more! Outside the garden and pool are spacious and well kept. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed wondering around it! It is surrounded by amazing countryside in every direction but minutes outside the village. The interior has been renovated recently with great taste which manages to both look stunning and feel homely. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need, all of which is of good quality. The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly. We were so grateful for the tips Petra gave us of local places to visit, restaurants and just things she thought might interest us ! We can’t wait to go back next year!
