Leave ReviewA great week
By Pete and David on 15-Sep-2025We’ve just had a great week exploring the local area and enjoying sunshine and showers, as you’d expect at this time of the year. The cottage has been perfectly situated for day trips and is very well equipped and furnished. Jim and Tricia have been prompt and very helpful and we feel lucky to have stayed at Lynwood Cottage.
Thank you
By L,D,M and J on 15-Apr-2025The first time we have been in the Lakes and it was fantastic despite the rain. We all loved the walk across the road and up to Haverthwaite Heights, picking wild garlic as we went. Train to Lakeside and boat to Bowness will be forever in our memories - a really fun thing to do. Thank you for such a lovely cottage - a real home away from home.
Very comfortable house
By Julie, Basil, Claire and Lewis on 30-May-2025Had a lovely time in this very comfortable house despite the weather being wet for most of the week. Thanks for providing everything needed. The lego went down well and enjoyed the quoridor game.
A really lovely week
By Ali on 21-Feb-2025Our family has enjoyed a really lovely week in Lynwood Cottage which has been the perfect base from which to explore the local area. The house is incredibly well equipped, very cosy and has felt like a home-from-home. Our two young sons have enjoyed playing with the farm animals whilst the adults have enjoyed puzzles by the fire. The kindling pile is very impressive and worthy of mention! Some of thr highlights of our trip have included the steam train, the Beatrix Potter museum, a lake cruise and Grizedale. We’d not hesitate to book again and explore more of this area.
Wonderful
By Claire on 09-Aug-2024We’ve had a wonderful stay at Lynwood Cottage. Great location to explore the fabulous scenery. We enjoyed several big walks - Old Man of Coniston, Scafell Pike - quite the climb but well worth it for the views, Fell Foot and exploring the Coppermines. The fire was a welcome treat after several wet, cold days and the entertainment of puzzles and toys kept us thoroughly entertained. My daughter LOVED the farm set. We also enjoyed exploring the local National Trust places espevially Hill Top and Sizergh. Thanks again for such a wonderful, comfortable stay with such nice home comforts and plenty of entertainment for those wet days.
