Description
Welcome to Pont de Chambon, a beautiful, converted farmhouse with swimming pool 10x5m.The house is situated close
to the wine regions of Duras and Bordeaux.. This is the perfect holiday destination for families, couples and friends.
The house stands in a secluded position surrounded by plum orchards and vines, with stunning views over the open countryside. The house has extensive grounds and plenty of parking entered by a private driveway. Local towns are easily accessible by car or bike .
The house comfortably sleeps 6 Adults 2 Children (3 doubles, 2 singles). With a fully equipped kitchen and utility room, two bathrooms, a separate toilet, a spacious dining room with patio doors to a covered terrace for outside dining. The comfortable sitting room has a TV (and DVD library), wood burning stove and large picture windows with views over the orchards. The house also has a table tennis table, badminton, numerous outdoor games and board games, library of books and WIFI.
The swimming pool, with its numerous sun-loungers and parasol, has recently been upgraded with new paving and surrounds (older ones are shown in photos, please see the later photo of the pool for upgraded paving). Please note, the diving board shown in some photos has since been removed.
Duras with its beautiful 12th Century chateau and nearby Monsegur offer weekly markets, including vibrant night markets in high season. You will also find numerous restaurants and bars in Duras and the small towns close by.
The surrounding area offers many activities including: wine tasting at countless vineyards, tennis courts, canoeing, outdoor adventure park, gardens, horse riding, beautiful vineyard lined roads for cycling, to name just a few.

By J Fletcher on 11-Jul-2025A fabulous holiday. The photos do not do the property justice. It is situated in a quiet area and is very secluded. Only a five minute drive to Duras where they had fantastic Bastille day and Fete de la Madeleine fireworks displays. Communication with the owner was brilliant and reassuring. The property is spacious and very well equipped. Table tennis table and pool were fab. Local tennis courts free to use also. The rooms were very well presented and small details like plug adaptors to use were very welcome. Would definitely return. Highly recommended.

By Sally & Simon on 10-Sep-2022It's a glorious place - peaceful and very private. We've stayed at dozens of self catering houses in France over many years and this was certainly one of the best. Very well equipped for a holiday rental with everything you could possibly need. We loved the pool, the views and the large verandah - what more can we say except we've booked again for next year!
