Description

Last updated in January 2026, the 1st floor modern spacious Lounge has a view of Lake Windermere and is at set up for relaxing away the hours watching the SMART TV or have some fun with the many board games, cards, books and toys for the younger children. There is also a large selection of tourist leaflets to choose from giving you ideas for all the excellent things to do in the area and places to visit. On this floor is also a beautiful Dining Room which comfortably seats up to 6 plus a highchair for the little ones.

The house sleeps 6 plus 1 infant (by request) in 3 bedrooms which comprises of a large king size master with TV and a large master bathroom which enjoys a walk in shower and corner bath; another king size guestroom with en-suite shower room and a lovely double guestroom also with an en-suite shower room. There is a travel cot for which you will require your own bedding.

The well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar is a nice sociable space and has many of the gadgets you will find at home making cooking some family meals an easy job. There is a a double oven, ceramic hob, microwave, large fridge/freezer, a slow cooker, a steamer and lots of pots and pans and of course a washing machine and dishwasher. There is also an upstairs cloakroom so there is no need to go downstairs to spend a penny!

There is ample parking for 3 cars and a lovely private, enclosed patio with chairs, table, parasol, BBQ.

We welcome a well behaved dog (no other pet are accepted) but ask they are not left in the house unattended, although we are happy for you to bring a pet crate to use. We do not charge for 1 dog. On occasion we may accept a 2nd dog by permission, there would be additional £40 cleaning fee.

There is a £180 good housekeeping bond applied to invoices which is returnable within 2 days of departure.

Great place to stay

Close to shops and restaurants. Easy beautiful walks on the doorstep. The bus stops outside the house for easy access to other towns. Georgie was very responsive with any questions/issues we had. Highly recommend.

Stayed at Kempton, Georgie and Mark are great hosts.

Location was great for walking into town and all that it offers. Loads to do, boats trains, buses and walks. Being dog friendly was a must for us.

The house is in an ideal location for shops, restaurants, buses etc.

Has ample easily accessible parking. It has good facilities and was nice that there were some toys and books for our young grandson. Lounge and dining area are spacious and comfortable. We would recommend the property to friends.

The perfect spot to explore the lakes for our little family holiday!

Would recommend for families, even with small children :) Easy parking, but also easy to walk down to the village and the bus stop at the front gate. The host was super responsive to questions and sent us some great local recommendations! She also provided useful things for two small children… a travel cot for the toddler, kids’ crockery, even some toys and books. The kitchen had plenty of storage for self catering. Bowness is a magical spot and we look forward to coming back some time!

The house had beautiful views of the lake, all bedrooms en suite, and a short walk to wonderful restaurants, great shops and the beautiful lake. Perfect for a catch up with friends!

The property was very clean and the welcome pack was a lovely touch.
