Description
Welcome!Pail End is a one-bedroom holiday let, next door to the owners' house in the Peak District village of Brassington, a couple of miles from Carsington Water.
Stepping into Pail End, there is an open-plan living area, with compact kitchen and sitting area. Upstairs, you have a double eaves bedroom, with a window looking south along the valley, complete with a couple of chairs and small table for morning coffee, or tea breaks. Comfy, king-size bed, with a low footboard, to accommodate the taller guests. Firm and soft pillows.
Outside Pail End is a terraced lawn with table and chairs; this area of the owners' garden is enjoyed by guests on fine days.
The village of Brassington benefits from two friendly pubs serving food.
Carsington Water is just over two miles away - very popular with our guests for easy walking with visitor facilities. Nearby is the High Peak Trail: the former railway track now much-enjoyed by walkers and cyclists.
Pail End is for couples (or singles) who are looking for a relaxing break in the countryside, with inspiring views, invigorating walks, and interesting places to visit, so you can return home refreshed.
We do welcome a dog, but please note that the garden is not securely enclosed.

By Shannon on 19-Aug-2023If you’re looking for a couple’s get away with your four legged friend(s) then look no further. The cottage is clean and cosy. The shower pressure is excellent. The garden is beautiful too! You can tell this place is well cared for! The owner of this cottage is also superb. He was very accommodating to us and our situation during our stay. He went above and beyond, so we’ll be returning later this year/early next year to complete our visit to Matlock.

By Steve on 05-Oct-2023Beautiful & quiet village, great location for visiting various parts of Derbyshire & South Yorkshire, we did some by bus & some by car, lots of friendly places for our dogs.The Miners Arms in the village is a friendly local, lovely pies & breakfast.
