By David on 07-Aug-2025I cannot recommend this cottage enough. We have travelled a lot, have stayed in many cottages and I can easily say this has been the best cottage. The onsite EV charging is fantastic and the hosts are helpful and on hand if you need anything. I would happily book again.
Wonderful
By Lorraine on 14-Oct-2025A wonderful cottage with 2 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms renovated to the highest standard. There is a lovely open plan living space downstairs - a great layout. Everything was clean and beautifully presented and the owner, Hilary, operates on the basis of being available if needed but otherwise maintaining a low profile, which is ideal. We used the EV charging facility which gave us a full charge with 2 off peak overnight sessions and a lot cheaper than motorway services. The house is on a bus route which we used to return from Loch Katrine (a ten minute ride), leaving our car behind as we had imbibed a wee dram or two on the steamboat trip! I caught the bus back to collect the car the next day but Hilary offered to drive me if necessary which I thought was really kind and above and beyond the call of duty! The house has its own woodland leading down to a river and our Labrador thought he was in heaven! :)
Lovely house, charming village
By Stacey on 30-Oct-2025A lovely house in a charming village with easy access to walking and biking trails, Hillary's place is a welcome get away in nature. Hillary was very friendly, helpful, kind and respectful. The house was warm, cozy and clean - we felt at home right away! We would love to return in the future.
2nd visit
By Suzy on 06-Oct-2025This was our second time in this beautiful wee house it’s so very comfortable and spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need….Hilary is a lovely lady who is on hand if needed but otherwise leaves you be…also a very friendly little cat pops by now and then to say hello but again does his own thing…very nicely situated for Loch Katrine which is great with boat rides and bike hire and a good cafe…also a nice little handy tearoom right across the road from Hilary so it’s just the perfect place for a nice quiet relaxing stay or an energetic one with lots of walks nearby…I would highly recommend a stay here you won’t be disappointed…..
Beautiful place
By Anil on 05-Feb-2025To say this place is beautiful is an understatement. From the location to the cleanliness and timeless design, this place is perfect for a getaway. We stayed for a wedding and didn’t get to explore the local walks as much as we would have liked but there are so many nearby. Hillary is also a great host, made the whole processes of booking and check in super easy. She’s lovely as well, popping round to make sure we were all settled after we arrived. I would highly recommend!
Fabulous stay
By Ste on 21-Apr-2025Had a fabulous stay here in April. The cottage is beautiful, and the surroundings are stunning. Hilary was such a great host. Greeted us on arrival, was really warm and friendly and happy to give us local recommendations, then left us to it. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
