Description

Half a mile down a winding lane, just ten minutes from the chateau town of Pontivy, you'll find the 15th Century farmstead of Lenvos. Drive through the archway into the courtyard and you will have arrived in an oasis of calm.
There are five cottages or Gîtes and the owners house. These sleep from two to six people with one to three bedrooms. Individual details and prices can be found on our website www.lenvosgites.co.uk

The Cottages:
All the gîtes have been tastefully renovated to modern standards while still maintaining the character of ancient stonework, beamed ceilings and slate roofs.
The modern fitted kitchens are well equipped with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. For visitors wanting to stay in touch with the outside world, French terestial TV, UK satellite TV and fast internet access is available throughout.
With one to three bedrooms couples or families of up to six can be accommodated. Bed linen is provided.
In addition to the more formal oriental gardens, each has its own private garden with BBQ sun loungers and dining table.
We encourage visitors to explored the grounds and we enjoy sharing the environment where we are lucky enough to live. The land extends past one lake, across a games field, wildflower meadow to the banks of the River Blavet. From there the woodland path loops round past the ancient stone bread oven, to return by the second lake. The two private lakes buzz with dragon flies and abound with fish. The wide variety of habitats make Lenvos an ideal place for the nature lover and great for children to explore, discover and learn.
The fenced pool area has several sun terraces and two swimming pools. The larger slopes to 2m deep and is heated. The smaller shallow splash pool is ideal younger children. Also for children is a play area and secret garden with mini-house and a variety of traditional toys for imaginative play.

Local Shops:
Pontivy is the closest town, and is less than ten minutes drive. It has five supermarkets, a Monday market and numerous independent shops. The villages of Cleguerec and Neulliac both have excellent boulangeries for artisan breads and pastries.

Eating Out:
Pontivy has a wide choice of restaurants to suit all budgets and tastes, from traditional French, Breton Crêperies to Fast food and Oriental.
Many of the villages and small towns nearby have good indepentent bars, cafés and restaurants. A guide is provided in each cottage.

In The Area:
Central Brittany is renowned for its green, rolling countryside, accessible forests, waterside walks and cycle paths. Lenvos is on the River Blavet / Canal de Nantes à Brest and provides great level cycling and walking.
A 15 minute drive takes you to Lake Guerledan, Brittany's largest lake with watersports, several sandy beaches and shoreline restaurants.
The beaches and seaside towns of the south coast are about an hours easy drive.
The countryside is full of historic towns and quaint villages reflecting the strong culture and changing times of this beautiful region of France.

The Owners:
Phil & Fiona Sutherland moved to France with their daughters in 2003. They are on hand to maintain the gardens and pool. and, if requested help ensure visitors have an easy, relaxing holiday.
