Le Petit Camus is part of a traditional Breton longere which has been completely renovated to a high standard and now provides an extremely comfortable holiday retreat for couples or small families while retaining its original rural charm.

The ground floor of has an open plan living/dining room/kitchen that has charming views over the garden and the valley beyond. The sitting area has two comfortable sofas, a TV with freesat English channels and DVD/CD player. A range of books and board games are provided along with a selection of maps and information on the local area. Doors open from the dining area directly to the outside terrace. A traditional log burner provides a focal point in the living room, whilst modern electric heaters throughout ensure the property is comfortable all year.
The kitchen area is fully equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and full range of cooking equipment and serving dishes. A separate utility room at the rear houses the water heater, washing machine, table top freezer, a hand basin and ground floor wc.

Upstairs both bedroom suites feature exposed oak A-frames, one room has a king-sized double bed, the other has zip-link beds which can be configured as a super-king size double bed or as 2 single beds dependant on our guests requirements. Both bedrooms have plenty of storage, are full of light and have superb views over the grounds and the valley beyond as well as ensuites with shower cubicle, wc, large basin set in a vanity unit with mirror and light above, shaver point, hairdryer and towel radiator.

Immediately in front of Le Petit Camus there is a gravelled terrace with outdoor dining table and chairs and via a path through the garden the gite also has a private raised patio area with built in chimney BBQ and rattan garden furniture - this is a lovely place to enjoy the views and watch the sun setting over neighbouring fields.

There is on-site parking for guests on the drive alongside the gable end of the gite and a cycle rack at the edge of the terrace. Beyond Le Petit Camus' terrace and private garden area there is a large enclosed paddock which is shared with our neighbouring gite Le Grand Camus.

Le Camus is set in a truly tranquil location, ideal for barbecues, relaxing with a book and a drink, watching the bird life, sketching the scenery, strolling or fishing beside the nearby river. Situated in a rural setting in grounds overlooking ancient moorland and forest providing plenty of outdoor space. The stresses of everyday life can easily be put aside to enjoy the slower pace of Breton life. For the more energetic try following the marked cycling, pony trekking or rambling trails through the nearby forest or kayaking down river.

For days out the gîte is an easy drive to bustling market towns, good quality restaurants, a wide variety of historic sites, two large inland lakes with water sports, or the beautifully scenic north coast beaches and golf courses to provide plenty of options for everyone.

All year round we are totally flexible about change-over days, offer 10% off the weekly rate on 2 & subsequent weeks of fortnight+ bookings and out of peak season we accept short breaks of 4, 5 & 6 nights.

Sorry we are unable to accept any pets in this gite due to the owners asthma.

Exceptionally well equipped, comfortable and well looked after

Absolutely ideal for two couple with the two spacious bedrooms both having en-suites. The large garden with plenty of garden furniture became our reading room. Loved spotting the local hare on walks round the lanes. Such a peaceful location, often on my early morning walks all I could hear was birdsong and the buzz of insects. A joy to spot orchids growing by the roadside. Anyone visiting between the first of June and the end of September do make for the astonishing photographic exhibition in La Gacilly, all outdoors and all free. Good restaurants there as well.

Very comfortable and clean.

Excellent although difficult to park two cars easily!

Would highly recommend this gite.

Recently back from a fabulous short break in Le Petit Camus. We were 2 couples and this accommodation was perfect. Beautiful en-suite bedrooms with so much space, lovely comfy sofas downstairs, absolutely everything we wanted. Penny was extremely helpful and had thoughtfully left essentials for our arrival. Would highly recommend this gite.
