Description
Guests love La Tannerie for its breathtaking views over Dinan’s historic port, where the River Rance and medieval ramparts create a peaceful and ever-changing riverside backdrop from almost every room. It is a rare place where guests feel completely immersed in both history and the relaxed rhythm of life on the water.Perfectly located in the heart of the port, the house is within easy walking distance of cafés, restaurants, a bakery, and Dinan’s medieval old town, allowing guests to enjoy everything on foot without needing a car.
The port below offers a wonderful choice of water activities including kayak, paddleboard, canoe, and electric boat hire, creating a lively yet relaxed atmosphere right on your doorstep.
La Tannerie is a warm and character-filled home, offering a comfortable and welcoming stay. While it has three bedrooms and can accommodate up to six guests, it is especially well suited to couples looking for space, privacy, and a truly special location. The living areas are cosy and designed to make the most of the incredible views.
At the rear of the property, a private enclosed courtyard provides a sunny outdoor space for relaxing or dining, and secure gated parking on site is a rare and highly valuable feature in this historic area.
A scenic riverside walk leads to the beautiful village of Léhon, a “Petite Cité de Caractère”, with its abbey, stone architecture, café, and heated outdoor swimming pool — a lovely addition just a short walk away.
From here, guests are perfectly placed to explore Dinard, Saint-Malo, and the Emerald Coast, although many prefer to simply stay local and enjoy the charm of Dinan’s port and riverside life!

Superbly equipped with everything one could need..

We explored so many fascinating places during our stay and always enjoyed coming back to the comfort of the house, which is superbly equipped with everything one could need. The local restaurants offered plenty of choice, making each evening a pleasure. It was lovely to meet Guillaume, the owner, and our sincere thanks go to Judith for making all the arrangements so easy and seamless. We very much hope to return in the future.

By Sarah and Steve on 28-Jun-2025What a truly wonderful week we’ve had! The weather has been gorgeous, and the house exceeded all our expectations.We absolutely loved its charm and amazing location. Evenings spent outside infant of the house with a glass of wine, simply watching the world go by, have been a real pleasure. While we enjoyed a couple of lovely meals out, most evenings were spent in the courtyard with fresh bread and cheese from the local supermarket. Thank you for a truly memorable week.
Unfortunately, it’s time to head home!

It’s a wonderful house in a stunning location, and we very much hope to return next year. Today, we cycled to Léhon to watch the Tour de France pass by. The stage from Saint-Malo to the Mur de Bretagne was a real classic. We cycled, kayaked, and even managed a little running despite the intense heat. It was, as always, a truly memorable holiday. Thank you, Guillaume and Judith, for a perfect house in a perfect port. Here’s to next year, hopefully!
