Sleeps 8 | 4 bedrooms | 3 bath/wcLittle Northcott is a beautiful four-bedroom property tucked away in a secluded corner of our working farm in the valley of Northcott. Perfect for large families or two families holidaying together, the property has spacious living accommodations for up to eight people. Little Northcott also has a large private enclosed garden with raised patio with outdoor dining furniture and a hot tub. With its ground floor wet room this accommodation is perfect for Surfers too!
Little Northcott is only a 15-minute walk from the dog-friendly beach of Northcott Mouth and the Cornish Coast Path, and two miles from the popular seaside resort of Bude, with its wealth of activities, restaurants and pubs (the local village pub is only half a mile away.)
Take the children to meet the cows, pigs, Bubbles and Tiny Tim the ponies, Rosie the donkey, and Fred the horse - who are all residents at Northcott Farm.
Guests staying at Little Northcott are welcome to use all the facilities at Court Farm, Marhamchurch (4.5 miles away). The swimming pool is available for exclusive use to guests via our online booking system where guests can book 1 x 45-minute session per day.
Layout
Ground Floor: Little Northcott is accessed via its driveway around the side of the house, arriving just outside the kitchen door. The property has been adapted so that you can drive and park your car just outside the kitchen door - making unloading your goods easy. Upon entering the house - the wet-room is to your right you then walk through the kitchen to the open plan lounge and dining room at the front of the property which provides panoramic views over our farmland out to the coast. At the rear of the house (up one step), there is a spacious double bedroom with a king-sized bedstead and en-suite shower room, featuring a walk-in shower and WC; in the middle of the house, 1 twin bedroom (with flexible bed configuration allowing it to be converted into a Superking) next door to the luxury family bathroom with whirlpool bath and separate shower; fully equipped kitchen; utility room. There is a door from the dining room leading out to the raised patio with outdoor dining furniture; sun loungers and luxury six-person hot tub.
The house is surrounded by enclosed gardens with a selection of children’s outdoor play equipment and sun loungers during the summer months.
First Floor: Stairs lead from the open plan living room lead up to another spacious double bedroom with a king-sized bed, Velux windows which let in extra light and views, and an en-suite shower room with a walk-in raindrop shower; across the small landing there is also a large twin bedroom (can be converted to a Superking) overlooking the side garden
Access statement: The house is suitable for wheelchair users with its level access via the kitchen and there are two bedrooms on the ground floor along with a family bathroom and communal areas.
Each bedroom (except the downstairs double ensuite has divan beds which can be set up as either a Twin or Superking *guests need to email their requirements ahead of arrival
Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome for an extra fee of £20/dog and guests are asked to bring their dog baskets or cages to lie in when in the house.
Need extra space? Also available is our Cosy Cabin next door which can provide extra accommodation for up to two guests who want a bit of space from the rest of the group!

By Janet on 01-Jun-2024Review of The Cabin, Little Northcott. This Cabin is a gem! A wonderful place to stay and relax. The host , Andrew, is such a nice chap. Not at all intrusive but there to make such you have everything you need. The Cabin is perfect for 2 people, very comfortable and has everything you need. It is decorated and equipped to a high standard. Outside the view is incredible and the patio is equipped with everything you need. Hot tub, sun loungers, table and chairs and a summer house to relax in if the weather wasn’t so great. Bude is a fantastic place for a holiday with so much to offer. Can’t wait to return, this is my happy place!

By Janet S on 01-Jun-2024We stayed at Little Northcott for a week as a family of 6, though the cottage caters for 8. It was very comfortable, with everything we needed and there was plenty of room to spread out. Beds were extremely comfortable and there were televisions in 2 of the 4 bedrooms plus 2 more in the lounge and kitchen area. The large fridge/freezer was an added bonus, plus washing machine, dishwasher, wet room and a hot tub in the garden. We were fortunate in having good weather during our stay to get out and about, but we were happy to relax at the property too, which is in a quiet location tucked away down a narrow lane. The beach is lovely at low tide with lots of rock pools and a cafe nearby. It is a 15 minute walk or a few minutes if you want to take the car. All in all, a memorable family holiday!
Family Holiday
By Karen M on 01-Jul-2024We have just returned from a weeks holiday with the family, which included six adults, a three year old and two toddlers. We stayed in the Little Northcott house. We had a fabulous time and I've never rented a holiday home that was so well equip to cater for small children the only extras we took for them were a few toys and their push chairs. The kitchen was also very well equipped with lots of pots, pans, oven to tableware and cooking utensils. This cottage is on the farm site which is a ten minute drive from the main holiday site where the pool is but not a problem as it has a lovely private garden with far reaching views to the sea, containing play equipment, a hot tub and barbeque. A beautiful safe deck with a huge outside table and plenty of sun beds. It is also just a twenty minute walk to the coast down a farm track just by the house. The house itself was spacious and very homely and comfortable. I would highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for a child friendly get away.
