Megan’s Lodge is situated near the North Devon/North Cornwall Border with no near neighbours. Megan’s Lodge is a detached Lodge in the grounds of my home. Secure parking for one car.
In Spring, Summer, Winter or Autumn Megan’s Lodge is a cosy cottage. Centrally Heated and Double Glazed suitable for any season. It has been set up as a luxurious cottage for couples, with everything provided. It is perfect for those seeking a relaxing break surrounded by nature. There is a welcome pack with a few treats as well as the basics, tea, coffee, sugar, milk.
The open plan living is off the hall, which has coat hooks a table and stool for sitting on while putting on shoes etc. The Kitchen area is fitted with plenty of cupboards and drawers, all stocked with all you would need to cook delicious meals.The top cupboards contain Denby Crockery and plenty of glasses etc. All the modern appliances are integrated including an Electric Oven, Ceramic Hob with Extractor over, Fridge with Ice Box, Dishwasher, Washing Machine/Dryer. There is also a free standing Microwave, Kettle, Cafeteria. An Iron and Ironing Board are under the stairs with a Hoover and BBQ Tools. The Dining area has a oak table which can extend further if necessary. The Lounge area has a comfortable sofa facing the fire, which is electric, remote controlled with log effect, giving an cosy ambiance on cooler evenings. There is a further club chair, lamps, coffee tables and Smart TV. There is a DVD player with a selection of DVD’s and a C.D.Player with two speakers on the fire place. Small selection of books and board and card games. The new Wifi is 100% reliable, suitable for daily online work if required.
The bathroom off the hall has a Bath with mixer taps and shower attachment, ideal for washing children’s hair. There is also a Shower with large shower head over the bath. Sink with a vanity unit with mirror over and toilet. Egyptian Cotton Towels provided.
Upstairs is the very spacious bedroom. It has a Super King Sized Bed made up with 500 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. The bed can be split into 2 x 3’ beds on request. There are two bedside tables with lamps and a Dresser with plenty of drawers, a vintage hanging rail with two metal shelves and wooden hangers, chairs. There is also a Safe, T.V. and Hairdryer.
Outside is a private patio with table, chairs, Arbor and a Weber Charcoal BBQ., where you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast or early morning coffee listening to the varied species of birds and watch the wild life. Enjoy a BBQ after a relaxing day in this beautiful area. There is also a rotary washing line and a covered area to put bikes, surfboards, wetsuits etc
There is nothing to bring except yourselves, personal items and food. Dishwasher tabs, washing powder, kitchen towels etc all provided.
The Lodge is decorated inside and out for Christmas and New Year and a Tree!
A Jaycee bed can be made up for a young child, sharing the bedroom with parents. A small charge is made for laundry of the extra bedding and towels etc
A cot can be provided for a baby/toddler, free of charge. Bedding not provided, but can provide towels. A highchair can also be provided no charge.
This is a non smoking, non vaping property. If found breaching this rule inside the Lodge, you will be asked to leave immediately. You can smoke or vape outside the Lodge itself on the patio.
Flexibility on arrival and departure days and length of stay. Just ask!

One small dog may be considered. Just ask!
Bude with it’s wide golden sands is 9 miles. Widemouth Bay next to Bude is known for Surfing where you can book lessons if required.
There is Horse Riding, Cycling, Golf, Bowling, Fishing, Sailing, Windsurfing, canoeing all within 20mins as well as Walking along the Dramatic Coastal Paths or Walking on the Moors.
The historic town of Holsworthy has a Waitrose a few minutes from the Lodge, where you can arrange a Delivery or Click and Collect.
M&SFood is at the B.P. Garage in Holsworthy. Morrison’s and Sainsbury’s are in Bude and Tesco in Launceston.
There are lots of Wonderful Restaurants and Bars in the surrounding area.
Bodmin, Tintagel, Port Isaac, Padstow, Truro, Clovelly, Dartmoor National Park, Tavistock are all within easy reach. Tamar Lakes with water sports and Lakeside walks and Roadford Lakes are both close by.
This is just a small selection of all there is to do in this beautiful part of the country.
A 25% deposit confirms the booking. Balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. A payment protection certificate is given once payment is made for your peace of mind.
