Description
Cormorant Cottage is one of 18 cottages on the Broomhill Manor Estate. Located just a mile from Bude and the wonderful North Cornish coastline, Broomhill Manor is an oasis of peace, with facilities for all members of the family. We have both a heated outdoor swimming pool (open during the Spring and Summer months) and an indoor swimming pool complex with hot tub and sauna. Also located in the complex is a gym and treatment room (choice of treatments available at extra cost). Outside we have a tennis court, a large sandpit and children's play areas with trampoline, swings and slides and a magnificent 'baby Broomhill' play house. For rainy days we have an indoor games room with a ping-pong table, a pool table and table football. There is also an under 6 playroom with a variety of toys, games and puzzles to keep your younger members of the family entertained.Cormorant Cottage is one of three cottages in the Well Courtyard, once part of the original stable block. The cottage is all on one level and opens onto a small secluded and safe courtyard at the front. At the back, a large patio door opens from the dining room onto a private garden with hot tub which is a welcome addition all year round!
The enclosed garden is ideal for families with small children and has a table, seating and gas BBQ for your exclusive use. All on one level, there is a lounge, separate dining room and a fully fitted Shaker style kitchen with dishwasher. Since the dining room has a large table that will seat 8, Cormorant provides a central dining facility for a larger party staying in more than one cottage.
Cormorant Cottage has a fully tiled bathroom with combined bath/ power shower and three bedrooms; one with a king size double bed, one twin with room for a cot, and a third small bedroom with bunks. It is suitable for up to four adults and two children and is fully centrally heated.

By DayTrip555024 on 10-Jul-2024We recently stayed at Broomhill Manor as a family of 2 adults and 2 children and really enjoyed stay in "Seagull" cottage! Our accommodation was well equipped and very clean and perfectly suited our needs. The gardens/communal areas were immaculate and really well maintained. The facilities at Broomhill are really super, with everything from the riding stables to the tennis court being less than a 1 minute walk from our cottage, and it felt very safe for the children. The owners of Broomhill Manor were so welcoming, and really helpful, and we really enjoyed chatting with our hosts and the other guests in the evenings when the bar was open, usually three times per week, and the tuck shop was very handy. We had our dog with us and there were plenty places in the immediate area to walk her, and we were only a few miles from the coast, it was really a great place to base ourselves for our Summer holiday, and we would have no hesitation in returning to Broomhill Manor!
Heaven on Earth
By Jack M on 20-Jul-2024Having stayed here about 25 times since 1988, once again the place exceeds all expectations every time we go back. We've now been twice since Philip and Louise took over, and the improvements they've made to Broomhill are excellent, while still maintaining all the charm of the place from when I first visited. They are superb hosts, really making an effort to get to know us and our family, while also helping us meet other families which was great for the kids. We've already booked to come back next year and we're counting down the weeks already!
We'll be Back
By Melissa L on 28-Jul-2024We love Broomhill Manor! We're just back from our 2nd stay there, and have already re-booked for next year. Typically, we like to explore new places when we go away, but it seems we're stuck with Broomhill, as anywhere else in Cornwall will disappoint by comparison! The facilities are second to none, with loads for the kids to do, come rain or shine. The cottages are immaculately clean and stocked with everything you could think of needing. But what really sets Broomhill apart (and what we'd struggle to find elsewhere), is how Philip and Louise create an environment in which the all the kids make friends and enjoy hanging out with each other. 'Bar Night' is held 3 times a week and is greatly anticipated by kids and adults alike. While the grown ups enjoy drinks on the terrace, the kids all played a huge game of hide and seek in the grounds (which even the teenagers joined) , football on the green, or simply hung out in the sandpit or games room. Thanks for another wonderful holiday! See you next year! :)
Perfect Family Holiday

Another Amazing Holiday
By FrequentFlier379770 on 21-Aug-2024We have just had another lovely week at Broomhill. This was our 13th year and just what we needed. The cottages are all beautiful (and we have stayed in most of them) the facilities are just perfect but most of all Philip, Louise, Xanthe and Inca always make our holiday so special with their warm, friendly welcome. They cannot do enough for us and make our stay so relaxing. It is definitely our happy place and we cannot wait for return for year 14!
The most wonderful place
By S, P & T on 31-Dec-2024The most wonderful place Broomhill is our home from home - we love it there. This is our second Christmas there with extended family (on top of MANY May half terms) and we had a wonderful time. Kingfisher Cottage is lovely and cosy and the children can't get enough of the indoor pool. Philip and Louise are fantastic hosts and made a big effort with a Santa Claus shaped surprise on Christmas Eve, with individually chosen gifts for the kids. Very magical, thank you!
