Description
The Beehive is one of three stylish contemporary holiday lets located near the Cornwall/Devon border and midway between the north and south Cornish coasts. The 3 bedroomed cottage sleeps 8 (one double sofa bed in lounge) and a further 4 people can be accommodated in the Chrysalis next door (please see the other listing P183420). We also have the Aviary available P218155 (sleeps 9) which is situated within the grounds. Additionally we offer a double room in the main house for B&B guests. The Beehive is perfect for large families or groups of friends with plenty of outdoor space to explore and a large lawned area for ball games or exercising your dog. The WiFi connection is good and there is a smart TV. There is plenty of on site parking and a drying room and storage for cyclists, walkers, or those with motorbikes.Perfectly situated for visiting the many local attractions: Eden Project, Cothele House and Quay, Tamar Valley outdoor pursuits, Morwelham Quay, Trethorne Leisure Park, St Mellion golf course and health club, Adrenalin Quarry to name but a few! If you wish to book fewer than 7 nights, this can usually be arranged, please do ask. Usually we operate a Saturday changeover but during low season we have more flexibility, so please ask. Pets are £40 p/w each.
We request a refundable damages/cleaning deposit of £150. We cannot accept card payments, only bank transfer/cheque.

By Tarug Hussain on 10-Aug-2025We had a great time in Cornwall. The weather could have been better, but that's in the hands of the man upstairs. The Beehive cottage was brilliant. The owners were amazing. It had everything we needed, including a great kitchen and beautiful immediate surroundings which included a play area for kids and plenty of beautiful greenery.Amenities were close with a main Tescos 20 minute walk/5 minute drive away. Local fish and chips ship was great with food suitable for Muslims.... Everything else was great!
Amazing place to stay!

Being more central this is the perfect place to travel to every beach and sightseeing spotThe cottage is so calming and well equipped. Fab outside space to sit or a large garden to enjoyLinda and Dan are fantastic hosts and really make you feel welcome and they are there if you need them I would recommend any of the 3 rentals they haveThank you for a lovely stay

We could not have been happier, the communication was great, the welcome on arrival was so nice and the place itself was immaculate and exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for somewhere to use as a base for a holiday in Cornwall you could not find a better place.

Another amazing stay
By Mark Stidston on 08-Jul-2023Our second year in a row staying at one of the fabulous properties at Butterbee House, and we are already planning a return in 2024! These properties are absolutely stunning with high quality fixtures, spotless pre rental preparation and the owners could not be more welcoming. Forget paying double the price to stay on the coast, this is the perfect touring base with the majority of places whether north or south coast are within easy reach. The property is set within beautiful manicured gardens that you have access to with stunning countryside views. Callington is a traditional market town with everything that you require within walking distance. I really cannot recommend these properties highly enough.
A home from home
By Ann on 04-Sep-2021This cottage is so lovely we are almost addicted. Its lovely and clean. The beds are comfy. The garden is beautiful and spacious. The hosts couldn't be nicer. We've already stayed twice and decided we're coming back at least once a year
