By Jane Rash on 21-Oct-2022We had an absolute fantastic time at no.9! The cottage is extremely well equipped, very clean and with lots of homely touches to make for a very comfortable stay. It's in a fantastic position for doing lots of outdoor activities, including, walking, cycling, watersports and great for dogs too, with woods less than a minutes walk away and for the kids, there's the Landmark Forest Adventure Park literally on the doorstep. Easy access to the A9 if you want to go further afield and just a very short drive to Aviemore and all the Cairngorms had to offer. Lots of great places to eat, The Old Bakery Coffee shop in Carrbridge itself, The Barn at Rothiemurchus we used many times (great scones!), The Boat Country Inn (we've used many times over the last few years and always get a warm welcome, even if we only want a hot drink), Smiffy's Fish and Chips were a life saver after a very long and tiring day out! Overall, one of the best stays we have had

By Jo Foulk on 09-Dec-2022We have stayed here three times so far and will definitely be back. We love the easy access to miles of forest trails and the central location if we do want to get in the car. My kids love mountain biking through the forest and we try to find a route with food, such as Nethy House cafe. So much to do, with a cosy base to rest up in! The house is perfect: spacious and well equipped with flexible sleeping arrangements. Just need to try it in the snow now!
