A return visit after 11 years. It's. been great to come back and re-acquaint ourselves with the area and the donkeys which our 18 month old grandson, Finch, enjoyed but found them a little scary (a new word this week). The weather was very kind and the pool fun, if a little bracing (19C). This is such a beautiful area and a very peaceful place to relax. All the places we visited were quite quiet (Castelnau de Montmiral, Penne, Cordes sur Ciel and Bruniquel). The Sunday market at St Antonin Noble Val was great fun. The local animal rescue farm was a great hit and only a mile away, but the Angora goats appeared to be closed to visitors (perhaps the time of year). We flew to Toulouse and hired. cars, whereas we drove previously. Thoroughly enjoyed the largely empty roads. Thanks for being such great hosts and having such a delightful gite.

Once again, thank you so much for letting us share your home for the last 2 weeks. The place and serenity are magical. Weather has been a bit mixed but it hasn’t stopped us doing anything. We have both fallen in love with the Tarn - the people are so friendly and the scenery is stunning and not too many Brits! We have enjoyed watching ‘the Partridge family’ each day and saving the toads from the pool!! Have added yet more corks in the wall. Clive and Barbara are wonderful hosts. Once again, thank you for your hospitality. Tim & Becca, Colchester UK

Here we are again and what a fantastic holiday we’ve had! This year’s weather has been super hot with a mini heatwave included. Great to have had the pool to cool off in. Although we had thought our new grand-daughter Phoebe would be joining us for a week, that didn’t work out. We’ve been kept up to date with her progress though whilst we’ve been here. Henry & Lee joined us again for 4 days in the last week. They too have thoroughly enjoyed their time here. They have left feeling totally relaxed. Thanks Barbara & Clive for yet another superb holiday. We have both loved every minute and can’t believe where the three weeks have gone. Visited the usual favourite places, Cordes, Castelnau, Bruniquel & St Antonin. Eaten out at the Moulin at Varen, Jardin de Lys at Puycelsi, S Callipyge at Cordes, Nobel Bar for lunch at St Antonin and lunch at Fred’s the Baladin in Castelnau. Been lovely to see the water lilies and selection of dragonflies at Base de Loisirs Vère Grésigne. Hearing all the bird song here at the house is always a pleasure and I seem to add to the list each time! Hope the rest of the holiday season goes well here. Signing off for another year - à bientôt!

Well, what a lovely holiday we have spent here at Lempéry. Thank you Barbara & Clive so much for making us so welcome.. We have all appreciated your advice and recommendations of places to visit and eat well - we certainly have! Our accommodation has been great, everything at hand and of course - the pool! What a treat for us all. Our family consists of our two sons and daughters in law, our three small grandkiddies and ourselves. It was a challenge getting them out of the pool. Freddy (30 months) constantly refused to leave it. His cousins, Millie (20 months) and Timmy (4 years in August) loved it too, though Timmy took some persuading initially, Grandpa Steve succeeded when assured no sharks were lurking! We all enjoyed Albi, lovely city. Steve & I had visited Albi before. This time we took the little train ride around the city, a great success and boat trip under the bridges to the weir and back - highly recommend them both. Sons & daughters in law enjoyed meals at Jardin de Lys, Puycelsi and Traiteur des Rives in Gaillac. Other good food and service at Cafe du Sport and Pizza next door in Gaillac. Very patient with small kiddies too. Barbara & Clive recommended a very nice cafe by the river Aveyron a few miles away where kiddies could paddle in the river near to Penne, well worth the drive. All in all a fab holiday (+ weather too). Jenny & Steve from Bristol, UK PS Highlight of the day for the kiddies was feeding the donkeys carrots & apples (Coco & Kelly). Happy Hols

Another wonderful visit - the children are now 16, 15 & 13 and we all have an amazing time whenever we come here. In fact, this is the only place we all agree on visiting. We’ve had a lovely week of sunny and warm weather with lots of fun in the pool as well as lovely cycle rides. Next year’s visit has already been planned and we will all once again look forward to next summer at Clive & Barbara’s during the long and grey winter. Thank you for another superb stay in this special part of the world. Till next year - Ian, Nina, Luke, Mark & Emily From Brighton, UK

We enjoy touring the region and the Tarn has been equally rewarding with canoeing with Nature Escapade along the Aveyron river being a particular favourite for us all. We enjoyed wine tasting in Chateau Maresque being our favourite. Many thanks to Clive & Barbara for all their recommendations. Meteor shower was good but not as many to see. We love the barn and the pool; what a great place to visit. Families Bull, Fish & Barofka with Cook Nicky, Geoff, Alta, Robbie, Pippa & Jack and of course, Millie. A big family holiday!!
