The two cottages also have access to an outdoor swimming pool measuring 11 metres by 6 metres

Mimosa is a 4 bedroom cottage with the following accommodation:

The properties sit in grounds of approximately two acres, amidst walnut groves, and are situated between the villages of St. Andre de Lidon and Cozes in the department of Charente Maritime in France. As the name of property suggests there is a non working mill tower in the grounds.

The houses are located within a 20 minute drive of the beautiful sandy, child friendly beaches of St.George de Didonne and Royan.

Could have been perfect but fell short for basic reasons

By JerseyCrew on 02-Aug-2025

The photos if anything do not do this place justice - the inside of the accomodation is fantastic structurally and rooms are very generous in size. Great kitchen - size and amenities. This could be amazing but there were 3 main issues - 1. the beds were incredibly hard - the main bedroom with the ensuite had a mattress that was so hard that I came away with an issue with my hip. 2. No umbrellas around the pool - there was a small area of shade but inadequate given this is a shared pool 3. The pool is not heated - beware - unless it is in the mid 30s +, its not nice. Finally beware of all the rules once you book including no floatation devices allowed - spoilt the pool time for the kids. I have fed back to the owner but no response. Disappointing.
