Overview
Description
L'Ecurie"L'Ecurie" is a beautifully restored 19th-century traditional Charentaise Logis, set in 2 acres of landscaped gardens, with racquet sports, a standard games room, and TWO swimming pool complexes. Logis de Lussais was built in the mid-19th Century as a gentleman's residence with a Manor house and private vineyard, and later became a working farm. It has since been restored to provide holiday accommodation. The Logis is approached along a private, tree-lined avenue, with ample shaded parking, and through grand entrance gates into a fountain courtyard. The farmhouse and four holiday cottages are around the central courtyard, and each has its own private gardens overlooking the fountain. The four cottages share a secure 10 x 5m swimming pool and a second 8 x 4m swimming pool. Both swimming pools are south-facing gardens with badminton, short tennis, and swings. In an open barn, there is a common games room with table tennis, a pool table, and bar football. All racquets and game equipment are provided. Wi-Fi Internet access is available on site free of charge.
This charming XIX-century logis was originally built as a gentleman's residence and vineyard, later becoming a working farm before being sympathetically restored. Approached through the grand entrance gates at the end of a private 100-year-old chestnut-lined driveway, providing ample shaded parking, the main farmhouse and L'Ecurie overlook the pretty circular courtyard with its centre the fountains. Renovated in 2017, L'Ecuire offers an open-plan space on the ground floor, complete with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, and microwave. Comfortably furnished sitting room with TV. Upstairs, you will find two bedrooms awaiting you: one a double bedroom and the second with twin beds, along with a full shower room. L'Ecurie features a private garden to the rear, complete with a BBQ—the front benefits from sunny terraces overlooking the circular courtyard.

By Jade Woodruffe on 23-Aug-2025We stayed with Eric and Julie for my sister’s 30th birthday for a family holiday. We had the best time, nothing is too much trouble for Eric and Julie they are fantastic hosts. The accommodation is very idyllic, in a stunning location, with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. It was such a relaxing stay and I have already recommended to family and friends and we will certainly be returning. RoomsVery comfortable rooms, had everything we needed and more. Nearby activitiesWhilst staying we went to a really good zoo close by, only 30 mins drive away - it was a fantastic day out, especially with young children, would highly recommend really good value for money. WalkabilityYou can walk into the closest town which is a lovely area too.

By Thomas Cooper on 08-Sep-2025I stayed for a long weekend with friends, and we had a wonderful time. Our hosts, Julie and Eric, were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. Our gîte was clean, comfortable and quiet. The setting of the gîtes, house and large garden is beautiful. Rooms5.0Service5.0Location5.0 Hotel highlightsQuiet · Child-friendly Visited in September 2025
