Description
The Lodge (3 bedrooms) Sleeps 6 or 8 max with sofa bed.The Lodge is the largest of our self-catering apartments and was newly constructed in 2013. This very light and comfortable apartment offers 3 King size beds. The Master bedroom features a luxury en-suite shower room plus a wall mounted Free Sat Television. This is our only apartment that contains a family bathroom plus an en-suite. The open plan Kitchen/Lounge features a well-equipped modern kitchen, wall mounted TV, Free Sat, Large Sofa with integrated King sofa bed. Access to the apartment is either by 3 steps or using a gently sloped pathway with handrail that would be suitable for wheel chair access. Adjacent to the apartment is a small garden laid to lawn suitable for outside eating weather permitting.
Please note that there is an additional supplement of £30 per night for use of the sofa bed. Twin beds are available in all of the bedrooms @ an additional £20 supplement per room.
We do allow well behaved dogs for a small supplement of £20, but please do ask first.
Flintstone Cottages are a collection of 5 luxury self catering holiday cottage rentals, that are light, airy and modern, located only 4 miles from Chichester and 5 miles from Goodwood in Sussex. These self catering holiday lets have been converted to a very high standard, mainly from the out buildings of the Victorian Flint knapped Sussex Farmhouse, to create a 2 bed barn (sleeps 4-6) a 2 bed loft (sleeps 4-6) a 1 bed apartment (sleeps 2-4) a 3 bed cottage (sleeps 6-8) the exception is the 3 bed lodge (sleeps 6-8) which is a newly purpose built construction.
Flintstone Cottages offers ideal self-catering accommodation for, family holidays, short breaks, mid-week breaks, weekend breaks or for group bookings such as wedding guest accommodation, a large family wishing to meet up (whilst still retaining an element of independence) or alternatively, booked as a convenient rural base for an individual or couple to have a quiet get away.
The 5 holiday cottages combined offer beds to sleep a total of 22 guests (11 couples). In addition, each property provides a sofa bed, which would be ideal for an additional couple or children, by utilising these, sleeping accommodation can be provided for a maximum of 32 guests.
Open Barn style parking is available adjacent to the apartments. The apartments are very secure and private being half a mile down a remote farm track; yet very close to Chichester and the surrounding amenities and attractions. Four of our properties have wood burning stoves and they all come provided with Smart television, DVD player, CD radio and free Wi-Fi.

High quality, comfortable and well equipped.

The Lodge housed us all for eating and general birthday activities comfortably, whilst The Barn and The Cottage slept 12 of us. Good comfy beds and very good showers as well as good cooking facilities. Our older lads found plenty of space around the site for energetic runs as did our dog! A great 4 days and would recommend for family gatherings, or just exploring Chichester and Harbour as well as our wonderful South Downs!
Peaceful Lodge
By Ansa T on 22-Jul-2020Had a wonderful time at the Lodge Flintstone Cottages. Apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. We were a family of 6 with one person in a wheelchair. It was spacious enough for the wheelchair and had plenty of room for us all. Great price to and a welcome break after lockdown. Easy to get to all the beaches and 10 mins from Chichester. Would love to come back again. Thanks Jo. Amanda
Very comfortable accommodation in a peaceful location.
By Mobile17408813210 on 31-Jul-2020We stayed in the Lodge, which was in a lovely, peaceful location. It had facilities useful for our elderly mother, such as a wheelchair ramp. The rooms were comfortable and the living space was plenty big enough for us, with all the useful amenities such as hairdryer, dishwasher, washing machine etc. Jo was very nice and accommodating, we had a lovely stay, would definitely stay again!!

Idyllic base for weddings and Chichester
By dazzastanton on 16-Aug-2018We had a lovely stay in the Lodge. It was very spacious, clean and nicely furnished. The owner gave us a warm welcome and provided us some essentials. We were part of a large party and had most of the accommodation booked so took full advantage of being separate but together. This is an ideal place to base yourselves if you are visiting Chichester, Arundel and Bognor as well as the Wedding venue Upwaltham Barns. Would definitely recommend and we will be back.
Large, modern in perfect location
By Jas771 on 26-Sep-2018Really lovely cottage, very roomy and modern and beautifully fitted out and clean. Great to have bathroom and en suite. It has a lovely setting off the main road, so very quiet but within close proximity to so many places to visit. Jo was helpful throughout the booking process, which made it easy. We rented as one of four of the cottages for a family long weekend and it was perfect as the main socialising cottage for the 15 adults. The Adventure golf at Chichester Golf club was a really good laugh. Pubs we recommend The Crown & Anchor at Dell Quay - good for walking before relaxing with great food in a beautiful setting; the Gribble Inn just 1 mile away and the George & Dragon at Houghton.
