Peacefully situated within rolling countryside, Walton Castle is both furnished and equipped to an excellent standard, with panoramic views over open countryside as well as secluded and secure gardens for the children to run free.
The Castle is the ideal location for small group holidays with delightful accommodation for large family gatherings on those special occasions. The property is available on a self catering basis but we are able to assist you with caterers if you require.
When Walton Castle was re-built, it was designed for people to entertain and have a good time. Be it for that special romantic stay or for a family celebration to a larger celebration for over 100 people, the setting and ramparts, gives the castle its unique intimate feel. We can help and organise the bespoke event that you require. The hosts and intimate guests can stay in 3 double bedrooms in the main keep and 5 double rooms set in the surrounding turrets of the castle, giving you both space and luxury wrapped up in a historic and intimate setting. Yet at the same time you can hold huge events & celebrations without the castle ever feeling overcrowded. There is an almost endless list of fun things to do during your stay at Walton Castle, only limited by your imagination.

In 2010 Walton Castle had the pleasure of hosting key members of the challenging Ryder Cup team.

The venue is fabulous

The venue is fabulous: accommodation is great with very comfortable and stylish fittings. The two managers could not have been more helpful. All in all a perfect venue to have a staycation (shame we forgot to take the golf clubs as club next to the castle - next time!)

Absolute dream wedding venue

Margarita and Mandy have a suppliers list are and full of ideas! You can hire the castle for 3 days so you have time to set up and tidy up. We had the most perfect day, it couldn't have been more magical.
The most incredible, fun, special and atmospheric day
By Sarah & Christian on 18-Sep-2025Walton Castle is a special place. The beautiful 17th century walls create an atmospheric enclosed vibe which lends itself perfectly to your own bespoke ideas. The staff are incredible and go out of their way to listen to you and ensure you have what you need whilst also feeling cree and comfortable within the grounds. The view from the central turret is breathtaking. Everyone at our wedding was astounded by the experience of the castle and it was a perfect wedding day from start to end.
