Great place to stay

By Hazel and Dave on 11-Sep-2021

This is a really lovely place to stay. The cottage was very clean and well appointed with everything we needed. There was a secluded garden seating area to catch the sun in the late afternoon and listen to the birds. There is a wealth of interesting books about the area and its history, plus walking guides, and Geoff lent us various Yellow Guide Walking maps which were very useful. The surrounding countryside is stunning. We ate out a couple of times; you do need to book ahead as many places were short staffed and only open on some days, because of Covid. Highly recommended.

Many a good walk was had. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle you cannot go far wrong by staying at King Grove.

A beautiful location away from it all with a very comfortable, well equipped cottage. The owners were on hand to help with any problems and gave us advice on the best walks to do locally. Lovely friendly dog that we loved meeting. Would thoroughly recommend for those wanting a break away in tranquil surroundings
