Late autumn break in Shropshire..

By Anthony Thexton on 26-Oct-2025

Once again we have enjoyed a beautiful and comfortable break in this lovely, warm and well equipped cottage. The setting is secluded, quiet and surrounded by nature. You will always have a nice welcome from the hosts Leena and Geoff and we intend to return.

Lovely cottage in a peaceful relaxing location.

By Anthony Thexton on 29-Aug-2025

The cottage hosts live nearby and are friendly and helpful but don’t intrude. The location is surrounded by woods and hills and the cottage is so comfortable and equipped with everything you need. The beauty of this cottage is the surroundings of the beautiful Shropshire hills and the total peace.

Wonderful King Grove

By Peter on 25-Jul-2025

WOW! What a place! What a stunning location! We were hoping for a secluded and peaceful stay and we got exactly that! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and exploring the stunning Shropshire countryside. The walking trail at nearby Bury Ditches is ideal for a quick hike through woodland and to the top with panoramic views. Leena and Geoff couldn’t have been more friendly, hospitable and attentive during our stay :)) We will be making plans for a return trip :))

An absolute gem

By Lynne on 19-Aug-2025

King Grove Barn is such a lovely place to stay - clean, cosy and comfortable. Leena and Geoff are very welcoming and have created a wonderful place to stay. The garden is beautiful and the terrace is a super place to sit and enjoy the peace, the birds and the wonderful night skies. They have created a tranquil haven that is wonderful to enjoy in itself as well as a base for exploring the fantastic walks and places to visit in this part of Shropshire, and further afield. They have set up the barn with so much thought and care, it's one of the nicest places I've stayed in and I hope to be back. Thank you both so much.

Third stay - need I say more.?

By Elizabeth and Brian Stannard on 14-Oct-2024

An absolute treat of a place if tranquility and beauty is what you want. King Barn is perfect for a relaxing break .It is well equipped. warm and comfortable but the best part is that it is owned by Leena and Geoff who are perfect hosts. The surrounding area offers great and varied walking. castles, gardens and lovely characterful towns. Give it a try.

What a Find!

By The Stannards on 13-Oct-2024

This is what we said after our first visit nearly four years ago. We have just completed our third stay at Kings Grove and it continues to tick all the boxes. To be able to stay in a beautiful location, no matter what the weather is like, is a real treat. Leena and Geoff are great hosts and provide a wealth of information about the area. as well as a comfortable place to spend your time doing as little or as much as you wish. Thank you .
