Overview
Description
LAUREL: POOL, HOT TUB & PANORAMIC VIEWSLaurel is a dog-friendly two-bedroom cottage (sleeps 4) on the quiet edge of Bodnant Estate in the Conwy Valley. Panoramic views stretch towards the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia), with no traffic noise and a genuine sense of seclusion.
LIVING AREA
The open-plan living space is designed around the view, with full height sliding windows opening onto the patio. A large L-shaped sofa, Smart TV with DVD player and full central heating throughout.
KITCHEN & DINING
Fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and a Nespresso machine (starter pods provided). The dining area seats four guests.
BOOT ROOM
Laurel has a dedicated boot room for drying wet coats and muddy hiking boots after a day on the hills - a practical touch that many cottages lack. There's also a desk and chair if you need a quiet corner for remote working.
BEDROOMS (SLEEPS 4 + COT)
Laurel is single-storey throughout - ideal for families with young children and multi-generational groups.
- Master bedroom: Super-king bed with bedside reading lights and courtyard views
- Bedroom 2: Two full-sized single beds with west-facing valley views
BATHROOM
Modern suite with a double-ended bath and separate walk-in shower. Complimentary toiletries provided.
OUTDOOR SPACES
Laurel's covered verandah patio has lounge seating and a private hot tub with open views across the valley - sheltered enough to use whatever the weather. A separate picnic bench sits alongside for outdoor dining. Beyond the patio, guests have access to over an acre of shared gardens.
Dogs are welcome (see below), and the garden is a good space for them to run. The perimeter is rural stock fencing which keeps sheep out and dogs in - the one thing to know is that the driveway gate stays open for ease of access, so dogs that wander or have a high prey drive will need supervising near the front of the property.
EV CHARGER
Shared 7kW Type 2 tethered charger on-site, powered by Voltshare (pay-as-you-go via app). No need to bring your own cable.
SWIMMING POOL
The heated indoor pool is just across the courtyard - 11 metres, available 24/7 and shared only with the guests of our one neighbouring cottage, Fig Tree. In practice it's rarely busy. Pool inflatables and toys are welcome.
LAUNDRY ROOM
Shared facility in the courtyard with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and a library of books and games.
DOGS
Up to two well-behaved dogs welcome (£35 per dog per stay, booked in advance). Dogs must not be left unaccompanied in the cottage or garden. Full details on our website.
GROUP BOOKINGS
Laurel can be booked alongside Fig Tree (sleeps 5) to accommodate groups of up to 9 - ideal for families or friends who want to holiday together while keeping their own private spaces.

Something Money Can't Buy!
By Colin Brown on 04-Apr-2025Beautiful tranquil place with the most scenic view. What better way to unwind and relax by sitting in the hot tub looking out at the stunning view. That is something money can't buy!! Peaceful nights sleep, bed was very comfy. Kitchen full equipped with everything you could possibly need. Nice clean and tidy throughout. Penny welcomed us and was very friendly. Would recommend the Bodnant for a delicious Sunday roast with locally sourced produce at a reasonable price. All round great trip. Will definitely be going back again :)
