A scenic 10-minute stroll brings you to the southern tip of Coniston Water, where you’ll find Allan Tarn—famously featured as 'Octopus Lagoon' in Arthur Ransome’s Swallows and Amazons. For those who love the outdoors, the location is a dream; you can hike directly from the front door up to the rocky outcrops of Brock Barrow for panoramic lake views, or wander through the ancient woodlands of Bethecar Moor.
