About the property

Harbour Lights sits in the historic harbour village of Charlestown, overlooking the sea and the iconic ships anchored in the harbour. With two bedrooms (including a super-king master suite with en-suite), two bathrooms and striking features like a bath at the end of the bed with sea vistas, every corner feels designed for relaxation. Outdoors, landscaped gardens gaze towards the waves; a fully enclosed patio and hot tub offer spaces to unwind in privacy, while inside, underfloor heating, a Sonos sound system and cosy fireplaces add warmth and luxury.

The space

Enter through charming harbour-stone walls into a warm open-plan space, where plush sofas surround a log-burning stove, large windows frame the harbour and the sound of the sea becomes rhythm.

The kitchen is sleek and well-equipped, flowing into a dining area made for lingering: meals are shared over candlelight or sunlit mornings, with views to sea helping set the pace.

The master bedroom boasts a super-king bed, en-suite bathroom with views and a luxurious bathtub positioned at the foot of the bed. The second bedroom is clever and compact (single/double pull-out bed) - ideal for children.There is a toilet/shower room on the ground floor.

Outside, the gardens are beautifully landscaped, offering privacy and peace. The hot tub is positioned to make the most of sea and harbour outlooks. A slate outdoor shower helps wash off the salt and there is a beautifully kept small additional garden overlooking the beach for private use.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Charlestown is one of those places that instantly sweeps you up in its magic. The historic harbour, with its tall ships and cobbled quays, feels like stepping back in time, and yet it’s full of life, with cosy pubs, quaint cafés and award winning restaurants where you can sit right by the water and watch the world go by.

It’s a village that has this timeless, storybook feel to it. You might recognise it from Poldark and other famous movies, but nothing compares to being here in person, wandering the quayside with a coffee in hand or setting off along the coast path to find hidden coves.

The South West Coast Path runs straight through Charlestown, and past the front gate of the cottage, giving you breathtaking walks in either direction. Yet with St Austell town just up the road you’ve got all the essentials nearby too. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are only a short drive away, making it such a perfect base for exploring.

Charlestown is a little pocket of Cornish history and charm, the perfect base for making memories with the ones you love.
