There are lovely lakeside beaches for swimming and boat hire, the river Dordogne for canoeing, walking is very poplular here as well. Some of the activities available include, golf, fishing, tennis, swimming pools, horse riding, bird watching, accrobranche (go ape) etc.
The area is steeped in History, the village of Goulles there are two ancient castles, the Tours de Carbonniers and the Tours de Merle. The Tours de Merle has activities and demonstrations in the summer.
