La Julerie is only 18km (about 20 min drive) from the coast which offers a large number of safe sandy beaches, which is what all children adore; several beaches offer sailing, and all types of surfing schools –wind, kite and sand yachts; just what the teenagers and more adventurous adults enjoy. There are many offshore islands well worth a visit at low tide, for the whole family to enjoy. We know from experience that the young children really enjoy looking in the ponds as the tide recedes for little fish and shrimps and crabs, and also collecting some of the lovely shells to be found in the sand- quite often we just reach the island and find it is time to return ahead of a rising tide- but always with really happy children!
La Julerie is only 10km from the historic town of Dinan where you can see many medieval buildings, or enjoy their weekly market or wander down a cobbled street to the port and enjoy lunch alongside the river.
The world famous Mont St Michel is less than an hour’s drive from La Julerie as is the capital of Brittany- Rennes where you will find museums featuring the history of this ancient part of France. St Malo and Dinard face each other across the estuary of the River Rance; St Malo is a busy port and a centre for yachting but also a hive of activity as a popular tourist centre, whilst its neighbour across the river hosts the annual British Film Festival each September. Dinard boasts beach tents for changing in – in 2018!
However, at La Julerie we can offer you first and foremost “A Warm Welcome”, and also peace and quiet, where you are more likely to hear owls at night-time thank cars.
A perfect setting for a relaxing family holiday
The complex of 4 gites can sleep up to 24 plus babies and that there is sufficient space in La vieille Ferme for you all to eat together, however for any party or special function, such as a wedding reception, or birthday or Christmas and New year parties, there is the large games room (we have had wedding reception with 37 guests sitting in that room. another benefit is that whilst we can cater for 24+ as there are 4 separate units which means that different parts of the family can always retreat to their own gite (popular with the grandparents!).
We have virtually all of the items parents need when taking babies on holiday, therefore you do not need load the car with those items.
Any guests travelling on Brittany Ferries can get a 10% discount when booking at La Julerie.

La Vieille Ferme (P182423)
La Vieille Ferme offers an entrance-hall, corner kitchen, dining area and salon with a settee/bed and armchairs, granite fireplace with a woodburning fire, and a washroom/toilet on the ground floor. If you are coming with a large party and are booking more than one gite, La Vieille Ferme will be one of the gites you must book as there is plenty of room for up to 24 people to sit together if tables are brought in from the other gites.
Upstairs offers 1 double bedroom, one with twin beds and a 3rd bedroom with bunk beds. One bathroom has bath & basin whilst the other has shower, basin & toilet. There is a also a separate toilet. With central heating and also a wood burner this will make ideal holiday accommodation all year.

Les Etables aux Hirondelles (P219032)
On the ground floor this gite has a delightful corner kitchen, dining area and salon plus a shower room/toilet. Upstairs offers 1 large double bedroom, and 1 twin bedded room plus a bathroom.

Les Ecuries (P219033)
Les Ecuries has been designed to welcome both able and disabled guests with its wide doors, low level worktops in the kitchen, and a large downstairs shower room.
In addition to the salon area, there is room to have a bed downstairs should it be needed for a disabled person. Upstairs offers 1 double bedroom, and 1 twin-bedded room and a bathroom. On its wide landing there is a sofa bed which is ideal for an adult or 2 children.

Les Grenier (P219034)
Le Grenier is our luxury gite. Downstairs is creatively decorated with terracotta tiled floors, granite fireplace, wood burning stove, a fitted kitchen with dining area, a salon area and a washroom.
On the first-floor there are 2 spacious en-suite double bedrooms, one with bath, the other with shower. The upper-floor with its low level beams is furnished with 2 single beds and a full size settee bed. It has its own en-suite bathroom with French-style bath, bidet etc.. A child’s (or parent’s) dream!
With c/h & woodburner this will make ideal holiday accommodation all year.

La Julerie is a mere 2km from Corseul & 10km from the historic town of Dinan. The lovely beaches of the "Cote d'Amor" are only 20km away. La Julerie is situated in a quiet rural setting away from main roads. As it slopes gently to the south it is a natural sun-trap. Over the past 18 months we have seen and listed over 50 different types of birds as the buildings attract many swallows.
At night time you will hear the owls, not cars! Our gites make an ideal location for families or groups who want to relax and enjoy Brittany's charms in peaceful surroundings.
