Description
Small family run site with six en-suite Glamping Pods. Fully equipped with the option to add the hire of Hot tubs, Fire pits and BBQ's. We have couples pods and family pods. Sleeping 2 - 4 persons. The pet friendly cabins are Fox - family pod, Deer & Squirrel - couples pods and Badger - family pod. Pheasant and Owl are pet free pods. (The minimum stay is two nights - Bank holidays it is 3 nights).Beautiful picturesque rural location. (Amazing area in itself without having to explore far and wide). Beautiful walks direct from the site and from the village centre. Just arrive, chill and relax taking in the peace and tranquillity around you!
Easy access to a host of village amenities to fully service all your needs - 2 miles to its centre from the site. An excellent pub The Bridge End Inn which is only 1 mile away. (Advance booking advised). The Co-op, Dalston Fryer Fish n chip shop, Carrock Meats Butchers & The Country Kitchen Café which is also highly recommended.
Perfect location to explore the Northern Lakes. i.e. Ullswater, Pooley Bridge, Glenridding along with Keswick, Derwentwater, and Whinlatter forest park. In the other direction you have Hadrian's wall.

By Mark Rigby on 26-May-2024Here now for the bank holiday weekend x Such lovely cosy comfy pods we stayed in Deer pod x Lovely views and quiet peaceful site All amenities you could need Even provide you with wash sponges and liquid and tea towel Milk tea coffee and biscuits on arrival and a doggy bowl towel and treats - also with outdoor attachable leash to side of pod for when you are in the hot tub x Lovely owners on arrival for check in but then leave you unless you need anything We had some lovely visits in area to bassenthwaite loweswater Dodd woods caldbeck and Dalston villages Loved our stay and highly recommend xx thankyou xx

From the lovely welcome the owner gave us, talking us through the facilities and local area to the spacious, beautifully appointed pod! We were so pleasantly surprised with the attention to detail from such caring hosts. Would really suggest the add-ons - hot tub, fire pit etc. We found a little gem in Dalston and will definitely be returning. Thank you for making our stay as idyllic as it was.
Excellent Site
By Nomad on 28-Feb-2024An excellent site, with high-quality accommodation and facilities. Karen and Andrew, who run the site, are both incredibly accommodating and helpful. The site is an excellent base from which to explore the lakes, or to go on local walks. This is our second visit, and we will definitely be back. Some of the pods are also dog friendly!

Andrew and Karen were fantastic hosts and the cabins were immaculate, cosy and everything we needed. Andrew was so helpful in showing us how to operate the hot tub and took us to look around the other cabins when we mentioned wanting to book again with more people. We can’t wait to book again!
