THE AREA
Located in the attractive Dartmouth Pottery Development, it is only a few minutes’ walk from Dartmouth town centre but remains peaceful and private, making it an ideal base for exploring the local coast and countryside.
Sitting beneath Gallants Bower and alongside The South West Coast Path, mainly a flat 15- 20 minute walk along the River Dart into Dartmouth itself with it's myriad of shops cafés and restaurants.
Within a few seconds from the house you will find yourself at Warfleet Creek where small boats, paddle boards and kayaks can be launched. Dartmouth Castle is 5+ mins walk with it's Tea rooms and cove, From the Castle you can catch a ferry into town. Sugary Cove is the next cove along. Closest beach is the privately owned Blackpool Sands with it's fabulous café and wood fired sauna

THE HOUSE
This immaculate property is set over three floors with 4 comfortable bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 cloakrooms.
There is an open-plan living area, fully equipped streamlined kitchen, and a dining table big enough for all the family.
French doors lead to a tranquil and secluded outdoor deck with gas BBQ
GROUND FLOOR
Upon entering the house you will find the seating area with 2 sofas, FreeSat TV with Amazon Prime and Netflix etc.
Open Plan Dining area with oak table comfortably seating 8 + highchair and harness
Kitchen including integrated fridge, separate freezer, microwave, fan assisted Smeg oven, Smeg 5 ceramic hobs and full size dishwasher .
Fully equipped with all you need to cook and feed 8 people
French doors lead to an outdoor deck with large gas barbecue, table and chairs
Cloakroom and utility room with a washer/dryer, iron and ironing board.
FIRST FLOOR
The master suite is to the front with Plantation Shutters, original artwork, King size bed and dressing area with large full length mirror.
From the dressing area you enter the en suite shower room. There is a travel cot in the dressing area and a hairdryer in the bedroom drawers.
There is a TV and DVD player in this room as well as a selection of DVDs and Books on the shelves.
Additionally on the first floor is the guest bedroom also with a King size bed which overlooks the deck at the rear. Hanging wardrobe and drawers, a tranquil place to relax and read
Next to the guest bedroom is the family bathroom with a large bath and stand over bath or hand held shower, plenty of fluffy towels and space to sort out the children after a sandy day out!
SECOND FLOOR
The second floor has another large bedroom presented as a twin but capable of becoming a super king sized double on request. This room is at the rear of the property overlooking the deck. Fitted Wardrobe and chest of Drawers complete this room. Slightly sloping ceilings give a cosy feel.
Lastly the twin bedded porthole room with it's feature round window and velux. This cute room has a pair of twin beds and a bed guard. Ideal for children but big enough for 2 adults. Chest of drawers and small hanging space.
Outside the Porthole room are 2 Lindam Stairgates with fittings in the large toy hamper
There is also a separate cloakroom on the second floor serving both bedrooms.
Well behaved dogs are welcome for a small fee provided that they remain on the ground floor at all times.
Owned by Mandy +Steve since 2009 and operated as a holiday home as well as our own family home from home.

By Mick on 23-Aug-2023This is a fantastic holiday home run and serviced by helpful and friendly people, the accommodation is airy, clean and very comfortable, it has all you need to enjoy your holidays. Don't be put off with the walk into Dartmouth, from leaving the front door to sitting on the quay outside the Dartmouth Arms with a pint, watching or children crabbing was made in under 20 minutes, don't forget that includes getting a drink in! We had two cars and parking was never a problem at the accommodation. Make sure you take a walk to Sugary Cove, me and the dog loved our morning walks out there. Thanks Mandy. By Julia on 15-Mar-2024Beautiful, modern house in a fantastic location. It only took about 15 minutes to walk into town. It was also fantastic to have somewhere to park, as this can be problematic in Dartmouth. Mandy was a very helpful host. We will definitely be back, and hopefully for longer next time!

Immaculate home in a little piece of Heaven
By Eve on 20-Mar-2014Sadly left your wonderful cottage about an hour ago. Just want to thank you for a wonderful stay. Please pass on our thanks to your maintenance staff who did you proud. The place was immaculate - so exciting to walk into the house - and each room - and think "wow!" It felt like we were staying in a brand new house - all the kitchen equipment looked unused!! We had two sets of parents in their 70's/80's who were all blown away and felt totally spoilt. We have had such a fantastic visit seeing our 'Officer Cadet' son and we will be back to see him in Dartmouth again.. I will be checking your availability first before we book anything. Thanks again.

By Andrew on 06-Jan-2016Wanting to get away with family for a few days how fortunate we were to find this property and there be availability The property is ideally situated near enough to Dartmouth that you can easily walk there but also out of town a little Lovely property that is modern and well maintained and has a great feeling to it We could not have wished for a better location and a nicer property. I'm thinking this may become an annual event !!

By Sue on 12-Mar-2017Just left from a very good break staying in the cottage. Fab house beautifully appointed and plenty of space for us all. Beds for 8. Highly recommended. Even had stair gates travel cot high chair bed guard and duplo! Thank you for letting us stay
