Leave ReviewLovely property.
By Susan & Alan on 13-Sep-2025Made to feel very welcome by Michael and Linda, lovely lemon drizzle cake, home made cookies, fruit bowl, milk and Prosecco. Lovely views from master bedroom, very clean and comfortable, very pretty garden to relax in. We hope to go back again sometime.
What a lovely place
By andrew nice on 23-Aug-2025We loved it here and the welcome from Linda and Michael was very very warm. They obviously take great pride in their property and it was cleaned spotlessly and was equipped with everything we needed for our 7 night stay. The upstairs balcony and view really made it for us - for lazy breakfasts and sundowner drinks. We would totally recommend visiting such beautiful place with such welcoming hosts.
A lovely house with amazing balcony views.
By Rachel Maguire on 16-Aug-2025The cottage was lovely with amazingly bright floral displays front and back. We met the hosts Michael and Linda on arrival; they were very welcoming and helpful. They had also left a delicious welcome package of cake, biscuits, fruit bowl, Prosecco and milk which was greatly appreciated and enjoyed. We all loved the property especially the balcony off the main bedroom where we would sit often enjoying the beautiful views. The location of the cottage was ideal, in close distance to many beaches and other tourist attractions.
Fabulous home from home holiday stay.
By Kays family on 12-Jul-2025We had a fabulous stay at the Old Barn Nursery Cottage. Lovely, welcoming and very comfortable. Just what we needed, two weeks in this lovely cottage to unwind and relax. All the comforts of home and lovely warm welcome from owners. Loved sitting out in the beautiful garden full of colourful plants and flowers and on the balcony of an evening with a glass of wine or two looking out over the fields watching rabbits, hares and deer. Plenty of space for us all to do our own thing we if wished to. My husband had to work remotely for the first few days and he could have the privacy he needed whist we could still enjoy the rest of the cottage and gardens. Great wifi, thank you!. We were lucky with the weather and went out and about to the Warren beach, sunbathing, walking and swimming. Great food and drink at the Boathouse. Crazy golf always a must for us, at the Warren and Exmouth. Walking along into Dawlish and along the prom for a coffee and pizza. Watching the trains and learnt about the signals. Exmouth to enjoy the Morris Dancing festival and seafood. Brixham for the lovely harbour and lunch. Lovely meal at the Smugglers. Walked along the lane into Cockwood for a cold beer on the harbour of an evening. Round Robin day trip was amazing and excellent value - steam train, ferry, boat and open top bus. Paignton, Dartsmouth and Totnes. Castle Drogo was an excellent experience in a modern day castle come country house. Courtesy of the free National Trust token in the newspaper. I would pay to go again!. This is second time we have stayed at this cottage. 1 week last time wasn't enough so came for 2 this year. Certainly no objections to coming back again. May bring my grandchildren too next time. Thank you to L and M for making us so welcome and comfortable.
A return to a lovely property
By janice and chris on 21-Jun-2025This was our 2nd visit to a warm, comfortable and immaculately clean property. Our wonderful hosts Michael and Linda are truly welcoming and the extras they provide - homebaked cake and cookies, fruit, milk, cava - are a lovely bonus. We enjoyed the beautiful garden and took advantage of the different seating areas especially the spacious balcony with amazing views. The location of the cottage is good for bus and train links and we used the bus to visit Exeter, Dawlish and Teignmouth. Other nearby trips were Exmouth by ferry, Canonteign Falls and Bygones near Torquay.
Wonderful place to stay
By Brian and Elaine Prince on 07-Jun-2025This holiday let is outstanding and the gardens are very special, all cared for brilliantly by the owners, who are lovely people too. The place itself is spacious but at the same time, very homely and comfortable with everything you need for a great break. Definitely 10/10
