Free easy parking for two cars. If you have a boat or an extra car, that can be parked in the main drive of Wild Goose Barn - please ask owners.
Access:
Guests especially like The Creamery because although tucked away in the countryside and very peaceful it also has easy road access unlike many rural properties in Devon ! Its location makes it perfect to explore in all directions with easy access to a number of beaches so you can do different beaches easily on different days and easily access the local towns and tourist attractions too.
Surrounding Area:
The Creamery is surrounded by beautiful open fields, and rolling Devon countryside in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and is nestled on the edge of the delightful historic Kingston village with its own village pub, the Dolphin Inn with local real ales.
A number of stunning local sandy beaches are in walking distance, including Wonwell beach, Aymer Cove, Westcombe beach, and Bigbury on Sea beach and Burgh island. A short car journey takes you to Bigbury on Sea, Mothercombe beach, Thurlestone beach, Bantham beach, Hope Cove, and the North and South Sands beaches in the delightful town of Salcombe. The South West Coastal Path runs close by for any walkers and Dartmoor National Park is easily reachable with its fells just 25 minutes drive away with stunning views, its ten Torrs, waterfalls and rivers for a great day out. Burgh Island (and The hotel of Agatha Christie fame) at Bigbury on Sea is just a 15 minute drive away with its infamous beach tractor and the Pilchard Inn for fresh crab sandwiches. The Journeys End (Ringmore village - see website, 10 mins drive) is an award winning pub with its real ales and terrific food (advised to book a table before you come - the sunday roast has a terrific reputation - it is that good). And for golfers, Bigbury Golf Club is a great course that also does take away food and is just 10 mins away with incredible sea views from the greens. The list of things to do and see are endless.
Water sports:
There are so many opportunities to get out on the water too. Bigbury's sandy beach with Venus cafe and facilities is great for swimming, surfing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. (There is a surf school (Discovery) at Bigbury beach where surfboards, paddleboards and sea kayaks can be hired).
Modbury (10 mins drive) is the local market town with butcher, baker, chemist, Coop, Indian take away and antique shops and more pubs.. Local farm shops in abundance. Kingsbridge ( 15-20 mins drive ) has a cinema, quaint cafes and restaurants and local supermarkets (Tesco and Morrisons). Tesco, Morrisons and Waitrose all deliver.
The local village shop and Post Office in St Ann's Chapel (4 min drive) also stocks most basic things and local food products, inc farm shop quality meat and veg.
Special occasions / honeymoon / anniversary - tailored packages:
The Creamery is also perfect for couples who wish to get away from it all and enjoy a special occasion.
Check in Times:
Check in time is from 4.00pm. Check out time is by 10.00am.
Food Deliveries: main supermarkets deliver. Use address - The Creamery, c/o Higher South Langston, Kingston village, Kingsbridge, TQ74ES.
Dog friendly:
We are dog friendly if you wish to bring a trained well behaved dog, and no longer a puppy. Most of the beaches and the local pubs are dog friendly too all year round. We can provide a dog bed and bowls if required but please bring your own dog towel and bedding. We simply ask that your pet does not go into the bedrooms or on any furniture. We ask that dogs are exercised in the local lane and surrounding fields and not left unsupervised in the Creamery or the garden. (A Dog is £30 fee).
Please note, smoking is strictly forbidden in this property and the grounds. At certain times of the year (eg high season) the changeover / cleaning cost may be slightly more than advertised in the pricing structure, for example to cover bank holidays.
Experienced hosts, Simon and Rachel, are very happy to offer you tips on local beauty spots and good places to eat and will do all we can to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. We would love to welcome you to our unique fun recently refurbished 5 star holiday home.

Leave ReviewAn Amazing Find
By Glen on 31-May-2025What an amazing find , great value , super hosts . The creamery is a beautiful building with bags of character and charm , but all the mod cons you could ask for . It’s impeccably clean and tidy and well equipped too ,the beds are comfy and the shower powerful . It’s very quiet and the gardens are beautiful. We brought my ninety year old mum with us , so the lovely downstairs en-suite was perfect . In fact the open plan design of both the lounge and dinning areas was convenient too, as well as being light, bright and airy . We would highly recommend the creamery and look forward to returning soon
Gorgeous property
By Ruth on 24-May-2025Gorgeous property and so very spacious. Loved the kitchen/ diner and the showers were amazing. Sad the weather wasn’t warmer as we would have enjoyed eating outside. So many lovely places to visit Noss Mayo, Dartmouth, Bigbury on sea, Coleton Fishacre NT, Bantham, Salcombe to name a few. Lovely to return to the accommodation felt really at home.
What a great place
By Sue on 17-May-2025What a great place - beautiful location, lovely space, with everything you could possibly need (plus some!), and a delightful (and dog proof) garden (including a lovely summerhouse - great for reading & dozing), and lovely hosts (thank you for the welcome cream tea!). Fabulous walking, amazing local beaches (sundowners on Wonwell Beach a real highlight), and a great local pub (terrific beer & excellent pizzas on a Friday night). We had a marvellous time - thank you so much.
Great peaceful location

Real Gem
By Malcolm on 30-Apr-2025This was a real gem - great private location and a nice house for a couple such as ourselves. The house wasn't hard to find provided you follow the very helpful instructions. We had lovely weather all the time we were here, and enjoyed sitting outside on the private patio. The upstairs kitchen / dining room is spacious and reasonably equipped. You do need to bring your own basic provisions (milk, bread, etc) from a nearby store. Many nice beaches, restaurants and sights within a 30 minute drive. We also had a couple of good runs down to the beach and to nearby villages.
