Description
This barn conversion retains all the charm of the original building with oak beams and stone walls . Generous living space downstairs is accessed from the outdoor dining terrace and includes a separate kitchen, dining and living room with a wood burning stove. There is a downstairs toilet and bathroom with shower and double sinks. Upstairs there are two bedrooms that can both be configured as super king size doubles (180x200) or twins (90x200).Palmier sits within the courtyard of an old Périgord style farm now called Au Coin Des Arbres. We are located in the hamlet of Ballande 500m along a no-through road with very little passing traffic. A network of footpaths and tracks pass directly by Au Coin Des Arbres and the village and chateau of Biron is a 30 minute walk through the woods.
Au Coin Des Arbres has a large outdoor pool (13mx7m) with sunbathing terrace, a large field with games including volleyball, badminton and disc-golf. We are surrounded by nature with plenty of opportunity to watch wildlife.

Your hosts, Nick and Rachel, are English speaking and live on site so we are available to assist with sightseeing recommendations and to help with making reservations..

Leave ReviewCharming stone-built gites
By John Rough on 30-Jul-2024A charming selection of several stone-built gites that are set in a peaceful location yet only a 5 minute drive from a couple of villages and the magnificent Chateau de Biron. Our hosts Tony and Lisa were superb and our gite offered everything we needed. The gites, grounds and gardens were very well maintained as was the fabulous swimming pool. We will definitely be making a return visit!
What a fantastic place

Tony & Lisa went out of their way to make our stay the best it could be, from local info to booking a table for dinner and the best places to visit, there was no end to the helpfulness and useful information that we were blessed with. The accomodation was above what we expected, there was plenty of space for the 4 of us, the kitchen was well supplied, the beds were super comfy, we really did feel spoilt. Not only that the pool was brill and if the kids weren't in there they were playing disk golf or badminton. There was so much to do and visit locally as well. 5km down the road was one of the best High ropes parks I've ever been too and there is a mini golf course too. The local towns are fantastic to walk around and the architecture is stunning as is the countryside. All in all there was too much for us to do in one visit. I can't recommend enough visiting Tony & Lisa and their Gites, I could write so much more, but you'd be better of checking it out yourself.
We’ve been back three times!

Lisa and Tony are friendly, helpful, kind and caring. They help to make our holiday super special. The Gite is also cleaned to the highest standards and the grounds are kept clean and tidy. Tony and Lisa are very knowledgeable about the area and give great advice on places to visit. Thank you for a wonderful week away. We will be back.
