Leave ReviewThe gîte was perfect
By Fi on 21-Jul-2025Tony and Lisa were perfect hosts for our week in the Dordogne - the gîte was perfect, cool in the heat and with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The grounds are stunning and our daughters made ample use of the infinity pool. We couldn’t have had a better week and the location was perfect for exploring local chateaux, caves, bastide towns and of course the many piscines municipales nearby! We particularly loved Baxter the dog, the badminton set and discovering “Cubes” on the lawn. Very sad to leave!
We had a wonderful holiday
By Jane Carlyon on 18-Jun-2025We had a wonderful holiday in this beautifully appointed gîte in a gorgeous location. The swimming pool was lovely and our hosts, Tony and Lisa, were on hand to ensure we had everything we needed for the perfect stay. There’s so many places to visit in this area - our favourite was the Château des Milandes, once owned by Josephine Baker, but we also loved visiting Biron, Sarlat, Rocamadour, Monpazier, Issigeac and Domme. Market days are a great time to visit. The caves exhibition at Lascaux was spectacular and we also enjoyed the cave tour in Domme. A week wasn’t long enough to experience it all.
Wonderful location
By Rachel Beckett on 20-Aug-2025We have just returned from here and had the best holiday. The gites are in a wonderful location, if peace and tranquillity are what you’re looking for, this is the ideal place. We stayed in Palmier gite. It had everything we needed for a family of four and was very comfortable. The pool area is fantastic, with a covered lounge area, sunbeds and parasols. Being able to come back and use it after a hot day was wonderful. Tony and Lisa, the hosts, are lovely people and having their knowledge of the surrounding area really added to our holiday. It meant we could attend local events and really feel part of the local life, which we loved. Biron Chateau is stunning and we enjoyed especially visiting the local bastide town of Monpazier. Villereal was our go to for provisions, with a supermarket, fromagerie and patisserie. Further afield Domme, Monbazillac, Bergerac and La Roque-Gageac were definitely worth a visit. We all loved our time in our lovely gite in Biron and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
Perfect for my family
By Andy Harrington on 25-Aug-2025Tony and Lisa's holiday gites were perfect for my family. We loved lounging by the pool weather and there was plenty to see locally. They hosted us with care, checking in but giving us space to really relax. Would love to return.
Fantastic location
By Kelly Davies on 25-Aug-2025Fantastic location for visiting numerous beautiful villages in the area and ideal for Bergerac airport which is within 40 minutes drive. Lovely and peaceful surroundings around the cottage and we loved hearing and seeing all the wildlife. The cottage was lovely and clean with all the amenities you need. Tony and Lisa were perfect hosts and always very helpful. They made us feel right at home. We would highly recommend them and their beautiful cottages. Thank you so much. Visited in September 2025
Fantastic and peaceful location
By Vicky Revell on 15-Jul-2025I stayed here for 6 days with my partner. What a fantastic and peaceful location that is just 45 minutes from Bergerac airport and within 10 minutes of some authentic local market villages. We very much enjoyed the tranquil surroundings in the beautiful countryside. The accommodation was spacious and to a very high standard. Tony and Lisa live on site and are wonderful hosts. We enjoyed the large outdoor pool which we had to ourselves the majority of the time. There are some lovely places to visit locally and some great places to eat. Our favourite day trip from here was to Josephine Bakers chateau. The markets, shops and restaurants are all very reasonable and Tony and Lisa have plenty of places to recommend for excellent value and a wonderful experience. We have wanted to visit this place for quite some time and our first visit has left us wanting to visit again next year. Than you so much for a wonderful stress free holiday.
