Description
A fantastic farmhouse set amongst the grapevines in a rural location. The nearest property is over 1km away making this the place to really get away from it all and relax.It has a large conservatory overlooking a beautiful pool, 5 bedrooms (4 are en-suite) ample parking and far reaching views in all directions. It is a great house for families to rent and share a holiday.
It is a super location: being 20 minutes from Bergerac Airport, a 10 minute drive to the River Dordogne, 20 minutes to Bergerac and only 5 minutes from the Championship golf course “Chateau des Vigiers”. Bordeaux is only and hour and a quarter away by car.
There are a number of vineyards within walking distance where wine tasting can be organised, and a couple of superb restaurants - "Le Relais de Monestier” and Restaurant Moutier”. Both offer traditional local food and have lovely outdoor terraces, a friendly welcome and come highly recommended.
The Reservation deposit is £500, and the peak weeks are £2,500 - others out of season are ad hoc.
There are 2 double rooms ensuite, 2 twin rooms ensuite (1 of which has access on the ground floor) and another twin room that has a bathroom opposite. Bedding and house towels are provided - we ask that people bring their own pool/sunbathing towels.
6 toilets in the house, 4 walk in showers, 3 over-bath showers and 3 baths.
A Cot and highchair are available - we ask people to bring their own cot bedding.
Washing machine and ironing facilities, as well as a dishwasher, microwave, 2 fridges (with small freezer sections) and a blender. Plenty of cutlery, crockery and glasses and plastic ware for children and around the pool. There is also an array of saucepans, frying pans and cookware.
There are 4 dining spaces - the dining room, the kitchen, the conservatory and the patio (with a large round table and outdoor chairs). The conservatory houses many geraniums that we ask people to keep watered during the hot weather. There are also chickens that provide guests with fresh eggs everyday - there is a local lady that comes to feed and water the chickens every other day - unless the guests ask her not to.
Television, DVD player and Playstation 2 as well as WIFI.
The cupboards have basic requirements (salt, pepper, seasoning, tea, coffee, bin liners, dishwasher tablets etc) we just ask that what ever is used is replaced.
Sun loungers that can be placed by the pool, and usually a collection of balls/bats etc for the children.
It is also an amazing place to be in the winter - with full central heating and a substantial open fire, perfect to sit in front with a glass of wine and some local cheese! The property can be reduced to accommodate 4-6 guests in the colder months.
Please note that during the peak summer months the change over day is a SATURDAY. Outside of peak weeks there may be flexibility, but please do ring or write with your requirements and we will see what we can do! Thank you

By Paul & Sally on 30-Aug-2025We LOVE this house and area - we went as 4 couples and thoroughly recommend it for a group! It is big enough that you can get away from each other, or have great laughs around the various tables with copious cheese and wine. Sitting on the patio in the evening with stars above and owls being to only sound, is SO relaxing. The local area is fabulous for sampling great wine and fab restaurants, with lovely walks through the vineyards and woods. The weather was very kind to us, but the house remained cool and a welcome retreat - we will be back!
A wonderful tranquil getaway with great views across French countryside

Heaven in France
By Josh & Sara on 28-Jun-2025We have been to the farmhouse before - a few years back with another family and 4 kids in total and had a fantastic time. The space outside is just great for the kids with space and the pool. This visit was different as just adults now with kids having flown the nest , but we had a fantastic week in La Tuiliere - the scenery is still SO peaceful, and we saw a great array of wild life. It really is a place to get enveloped by French country side and all it has to offer. Would definitely recommend, although don't want too many people jumping on the bandwagon as we would like to keep it all to ourselves. We followed the recommendation of visiting a local vineyard and having a wine tour which was very informative and a lovely way to spend the afternoon. We enjoyed it all so much - the kids are coming back with us next year as they want to re visit too!
Fabulous week away
By Sarah on 20-Jul-2024Just back from the most fabulous week, perfect location, breath-taking views, could not have asked for more. Accommodation is very generous, has everything you need and the pool is so lovely to lounge around and then cool off. You can walk to a couple of restaurants, but there are also to others a short drive away, we also made full use of the BBQ. We visited a few local towns where there are markets, restaurants and cafes and did a wine tour, tasting and lunch which was amazing. So all round a brilliant week.

By S Blyth on 25-Apr-2024Had a lovely time from start to finish. The area is beautiful, peaceful and quiet but walking distance to some lovely restaurants. The farmhouse has everything you could possibly need, lots of space inside and out so you can socialise or find a quiet corner to read. The pool is a lovely too, especially when you need to cool down, we used patio area to eat outside every day. Easy short drive to local supermarkets so you can pick up supplies, No light pollution so star gazing is a must, perfect holiday. Highly recommend.
