Description
Relax with family and friends in La Cour, the heart of the former sausage factory, packed with authentic features and architecture.Enjoy your own fully enclosed private courtyard garden, with terrace and lawn area. The courtyard has BBQ, firepit, relaxed seating area and dining table
Shared facilities with the other gites include 'Le Petit Cochon' honour bar with local beers and wines, pool and darts; and in the gardens giant chess, petanque, swings and slides, football pitch, and 5 acres of grounds to enjoy and relax in.
We have some free weights, yoga mats, and for the more adventurous cycle hire, featuring new mountain bikes, my classic racer(!) and a hand-built tandem for those who love a challenge.
The impressive double height lounge has firestick TV, seating for 8 and original sausage factory features. The fully equipped kitchen includes a Ninja Airfryer. The newly refurbished bathroom has bath and walk in rain shower.
Up the oak staircase the three large bedrooms comfortably sleep 4 adults (2 x king doubles , one of which can be a twin) and 4 children (bunk beds). in the farm themed bedroom
The village is a short walk (half mile) away, with small local store, bar and Sunday market.
The popular Espace Hermeline just 3 miles away has swimming lake, sports pitches, zip line, mini-golf amongst others.
Further afield are markets, chateaux, and the impressive towns and villages of the Perigord
Check in is from 16.00 (although we can try to accommodate an earlier check in if possible - just ask).
Check out by 10.00 please.
We are located in the Perigord Vert, Dordogne, equidistant between Limoges and Perigueux.
It is a 7 hour drive (plus stops) from Calais.
There are daily flights from UK airports to Limoges Airport with multiple car hire options (40mins drive to La Saucisserie) .
Or for a more relaxed and sustainable journey take the train, just over 3 hours to Limoges after an easy change in Paris. Then hire a car in Limoges or take the local train to us - we are just 3 miles from the local stations.
We ask for a €100 deposit (per week per gite) to secure the booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival.
There is also a Tourist Tax which is currently €2.50 per adult per night, payable with the balance or when you arrive.

By Killian on 02-Nov-2025spacious house with a fairly large outbuilding that includes billiards, darts and bar. the accommodation was a little wet because it was not heated when we arrived, but once the heating was on, it was good. the large living room is nice, for 7 people it was very well equipped. thanks again to James for the welcome!

Beautiful Swimming Pool
By Robin on 27-Jul-2025a warm welcome from James and his wife. Beautiful swimming pool, lots of games in the garden and private bar with pool table. Large garden. unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. great with kids of various ages. Perigord beer and harvest from the garden very tasty.
A Warm Welcome

The garden, the pool are real assets as well as all the toys available for children. Thank you, we plan to return soon to continue visiting this beautiful region and we recommend +++!
We Will Come Back
By Diane Motmans on 20-May-2025This was the fourth time we came to our dear « Périgord vert ». How nice was the week we lodged in LA SAUSSICERIE. The welcome by our hosts was warm and their presence throughout our stay discrete but full of attention. Our morning sunny gîte (Chesnut) was small but utmost practical, the pool - including it’s temperature and dimensions - just perfect. The weather was glorious, the huge natural garden and it’s surroundings bucolic, all the moments we spent with our dear ones so precious. For sure we will come back, and as soon as possible :-). Diane and family.
Lovely Paradise in the Perigord Vert
By Sinan Akay on 19-May-2025A Lovely paradise in the Perigord Vert, that we had the pleasure staying this last week (11 to 18th May ‘25) While my wife enjoyed the swimming pool, my beloved Golden Retriever Simba fell in love with Kipling of La Saucisserie, I enjoyed myself the local beers that James stocks at the bar! Not to mention very nice walks just close, wonderful village, wonderful bio grocery and cafe bar concert hall (fridays). We had a wonderful week chez Kate & James & Kipling and we surely be coming back soon!
