This is the prefect place for a family friendly holiday with complete privacy, set in one of the most beautiful areas of Dordogne near Bergerac and its many tourist attractions.

When you can tear yourself away from the pool and the forests, La Mouthe is perfectly situated 10 minutes from Bergerac airport and 15 minutes from Bergerac close to the well-known medieval market towns of Eymet and Issigeac, and 3 km away from an excellent bakery and local store. It is in the middle of the Bergerac wine area surrounded by vineyards for wine tasting and chateaux offering activities such as the Chateaux de Bridoire and fun activities like donkey trap riding. Day trips to the many prehistoric sites and kayaking on the rivers of Dordogne and Vezere are highly recommended. There are many very good restaurants in the area including, close by, the Michelin starred Tour des Vents.

There are 4 bedrooms all with double beds (160x200) and one room also has childrens' bunk beds. 3 bedrooms are on the ground floor and the master suite with its own ensuite is in the tower. There is a main bathroom tiled in marble with a double bath, shower and toilet. On the ground floor there is an additional separate shower and separate toilet. The kitchen is a large eat-in kitchen with all the necessary cooking facilites and double doors to the terrace. There is a huge living and dining room with cathedral ceilings and open fire and doors opening onto the front terrace and outdoor dining area. The traditional thick stone walls and underfloor heating/cooling system keep the indoor temperature cool in summer. La Mouthe also has a large (11x5m) pool and a pool house with comfortable seating and its own toilet.

The house comes with free WiFi, many books, some children's toys and board games. We have a good stock of films in CD and music in CD format and the equipment to play these. The TV has access to UK programs. There is a trampoline, hammocks under the trees and an area to shoot basketballs. We also have a wood or charcoal fired BBQ area and implements. A baby's travel sleeping cot and linen is available on request. We provide all bed linen and a small indoor towel for all visitors and beach towels are available on request a a small extra cost. We make sure you have all of the basic necessities such as salt, pepper and oil and we also provide the basic cleaning products such as dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid. Final cleaning is included in the price and the pool is maintained weekly. Pets are welcome.

Check-in is on Saturday from 4pm on and check out is on Saturday at 10am.

La Mouthe is accessed by car 10 minutes from Bergerac airport and 15 minutes from Bergerac town in the direction of Agen.

Payment of a 50% deposit is required on booking and the total amount 3 weeks before the arrival date. The security deposit will be returned to you within 7 days of leaving. Large pool towels are available on advance request at a small extra cost.
