We stayed here for 2 weeks and found the whole experience perfect. The pool is large and refreshing, the house is spacious, well equipped and clean. The location is amazing. A 5 minute walk to the village with a boulangerie, shops, restaurant and bar. A midweek market provided us with some lovey fresh food. The river is about a 10 minute walk and there is a pizzeria just over the bridge. The directions and instructions from the owner were easy to follow. The house is a short drive from Sarlat. Everything about the house was perfect and we would definitely visit again.
We stayed for a family reunion holiday and the house was perfect. The bedrooms were all a good size with two on the ground floor with garden access. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need for holiday cooking with a lovely outside space that is covered so protected from the midday sun allowing all meals to be eaten outside. The pool was a great size and although not fenced, with a secure cover for those with smaller children who may be worried about pool safety. The garden was massive with lovely mature trees giving shade. The surrounding area is a lovely part of the Dordogne. There is a excellent boulangerie within easy walking distance for your morning croissants, a lively bistro for apero or tasty simple food (pizza, burger, salads etc). There is a good market on a Thursday which is worth a wander to. There is nice walks right from the house and easy access to the river for kayaking/biking/walking/swimming. All in all, a lovely house in a lovely village. Only sad we were there for only a week.... so much more to do in the region.
My friends and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The owner was helpful and quick to respond from start to finish. We all loved the privacy of the location and the 5-minute walk to the village. The house itself was very comfortable and well-appointed. We did not rent a car and were easily able to walk to several different restaurants, general store and butchers, as well as several well-marked hiking trails. A short bus ride took us to Sarlat for their Saturday Market. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for great comfort at a very reasonable price. I think it is suitable for families with children, couples, or friends traveling together. The locals are very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. We honestly had no complaints.
