Le Mas is a beautiful 5-star farmhouse with a summer kitchen overlooking the private heated swimming pool and the stunning Dordogne countryside. It's the perfect place for a holiday, well-equipped and well-maintained, full of history and character. We offer lots of extras, you can even order croissants and baguettes from our local baker who will deliver them in the morning.
There are 5 bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms, accommodating up to 11 guests, or up to 13 guests when renting Le Mas & Le Mazet together. Le Mazet is a 1-bedroom cottage perfect for grandparents or those who want their own space. Please contact us for the rental rate for whichever option you are interested in.

LE MAS - THE HOUSE
The large well-equipped kitchen (55m²) is the centre of the house, great for family meals where 12 people can sit comfortably around the table. The centuries-old larder and stone evier (basin) built into the exposed stone walls just add to the character of the kitchen. It is well-equipped with: a Smeg cooker with 5 gas burners and large electric oven; Samsung dishwasher and washing machine; a Siemens fridge freezer; and a Nespresso machine and Aeroccino milk frother.
The terracotta floor tiles lead to the living room (44m²), which like the kitchen has exposed beams, an enormous fireplace with a wood burner (wood provided) and doors leading outside to the pool and summer kitchen. There are 3 large comfortable sofas and plenty of games and books to enjoy. If you want to catch up on the news or watch a film there is a flat screen satellite TV with English and French channels and a portable bluetooth speaker.
Two bedrooms are on the ground floor at opposite ends of the house, each with two single beds and en suite bathrooms with showers. One of these bedrooms is wheelchair accessible, as is the majority of the rest of the ground floor and outside area. The other three bedrooms are accessed via two staircases. The first staircase leads to a double-aspect bedroom and en suite bathroom with shower. The main staircase goes from the kitchen up to the two large gabled master bedrooms (33m² and 23m²).
The master bedrooms have wooden floors, beautiful original beams and are light and bright. Windows have views to the fields and woods beyond, being the perfect lookout for deer, birds of prey and wild boars. Both master bedrooms have large en suite bathrooms with showers and free-standing baths.
THE SUMMER KITCHEN, POOL AND GARDEN
Opposite the kitchen is the covered summer kitchen (65m²). Originally a barn, it still retains the roof but is partly open on three sides, affording you shade and a cool breeze. There is a small kitchen area with sink, fridge and a Weber 3 burner gas barbecue (gas provided). A large dining table, chairs and comfortable seating make it the perfect setting for long lunches, escaping the sun or spending time together late into the night, with atmospheric lighting.
There are games to play in the garden including a covered table tennis area and a covered pétanque court. The private heated pool is 10 x 5 meters, saltwater and has an electric cover. It is open from April to October. It’s positioned to take in the view over the fields and woods beyond, so lie back on the sun loungers and deck chairs and enjoy it! If you are seeking solitude there are several private spots in the garden.
We can arrange for a private chef to cook for you at Le Mas, or wine-tasting. There is a masseuse, pilates teacher and a yoga teacher available. We'll send you all the extras before your holiday so you can look forward to it!
THE DORDOGNE
Le Mas is situated in Sainte Croix, a hamlet nestled between the medieval towns of Monpazier and Beaumont du Périgord, only 40 minutes from Bergerac Airport. There is much to explore in the area. Markets selling local produce and antiques. Castles, churches and prehistoric caves, as well as restaurants serving the region’s specialities (such as truffles, duck and foie gras). There are stunning walks and a well-known cycle route on the doorstep; canoeing down the river, golf, horse riding. We are happy to advise on what to do and where to go.
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
Guests can check-in after 4pm and check-out before 10am.

TOURIST TAX
Tourist Tax is calculated per adult per night, approximately €10 per adult per week in Le Mas and is payable in cash during your holiday.
PAYMENTS
An initial payment of 40% is required to confirm your booking and the balance is due 3 months before your arrival. We’ll email you instructions at the right time.
If you are booking within 3 months before your arrival then the full payment is required at the time of booking.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
We ask for a refundable security deposit of €500 for Le Mas and €100 for Le Mazet. Your security deposit will be refunded within 48 hours of your departure, unless there is any major damage to the property.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you need to cancel we will try our best to re-let the property, and if successful we will refund your payment in full less any expense or loss incurred by us.
If, due to COVID-19, the French government restricts travel in France (within its borders) for the reason of going on holiday, then you can either rebook or receive a full refund.

SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted inside the buildings.
