Whether it's a family reunion, a girls' holiday or break with the kids, Red Kite is the ideal space for your eco friendly holiday. The bothy has all the provisions of 5-star accommodation without compromising our environmentally friendly ethos. With lavish Egyptian Cotton linen, private wood-fired hot tub, outdoor seating area and it's own access to the Loch, Red Kite has everything you need for a unique family holiday in South West Scotland. Take the kayak onto the water and appreciate the stunning views, count the Red Kites swooping overhead and rest in peace and luxury at the end of the day. Bliss!Our custom-built eco cabins are powered using renewable energy and use solar panels for the lighting, wood fuel for the hot tub and gas for the stove and rain shower. There is a log burning stove for heating. Red Kite has a fully fitted kitchen complete with under counter fridge, oven, grill, 6 burner stove and all the bits and bobs you'd need to cook for the whole family. With a double room, a twin room and a double sofa bed the bothy comfortably sleeps six. The ideal place for a digital detox, giving you the chance to really get together with none of the usual distractions.
Your break includes fuel for your wood-burning stove and hot tub, and gas for the hob and hot water; access to a 2/3 seater sit-on-top kayak and buoyancy aids for you to explore Loch Ken. On arrival there will be a little taste of local, artisanal chocolates. Delicious!
