Besides the waters edge of Loch Ken, it boasts it's own private wood-fired hot tub, 400 thread Egyptian cotton linen and is completely off-grid, letting you totally relax during your stay. Beautifully furnished throughout using recycled and refurbished materials, the Red Squirrel provides a stylish and cosy getaway - the perfect location for your peaceful retreat. The Bothy has its own dedicated 2/3 seater sit on top kayak and private access to the foreshore. Explore the loch at dawn or dusk, experience the stunning views, the wildlife and the peaceful calm of South West Scotland. We are in the dark skies park so you relax and unwind in your hot tub whilst gazing at the stars or just enjoy the incredible views of the loch.

The Red Squirrel has a fitted kitchen with under-counter fridge, a 6 burner gas hob, oven, and grill. You'll also find dishes, mugs and glasses and all the utensils you need to cook up a feast. It also has hot running water, a rain shower, and a log burning stove which provides the heating. It has one double bedroom and a single sofa bed in the open plan lounge, and a small camp bed can be provided on request. The ideal place for a digital detox

Included in the price of your stay is all the fuel you'll need to fire your getaway: logs for your hot tub and wood burner and gas for the hot water and cooker. Your private kayak and buoyancy aids are also included. There'll be complimentary tea can coffee waiting for you, a wee taste of some locally sourced artisan chocolates and a small bar of locally hand made soap. True luxury!
