By Peter on 21-Jul-2025It is a really lovely home and a great space for our family gathering. Garden needs a bit of TLC. Perhaps provide some suitable cushions for the Garden Furniture. A simple "Welcome Guide" would have been useful, providing useful Tips in and around the House. Would certainly visit again if the situation arose.

The view out the front was gorgeous and I really enjoyed sitting out the front in the evening sun on my own reading with new forest ponies just the other side of the fence.

By Elizabeth on 01-Sep-2025We stayed at Helen's place for a big family weekend to celebrate my sister's birthday. There were ten of us, a dog and a toddler and I'd mainly chosen the house because of the convenience (of the New Forest) for people travelling from different locations. Having different living spaces (big kitchen diner, & spacious sitting room as well as a smaller room which we used as a playroom) - great for so many people. The big hall gave us space for any outdoor shoes etc which didn't fit in the entrance lobby and the hard floors throughout the downstairs reduces the worry about mud from shoes or dogs - however much you wipe your feet. Having an enclosed garden at the back was perfect for the dog and the toddler and being in walking distance from two pubs sorted out exercise and lunch! In all, a great place for a family weekend - not cheap but good value for the size and quality and we would go again.

Amazing Host

Helen is a great host, she kept me informed throughout the process with all the key information we needed as well as some helpful recommendations.
