Leave ReviewNutcombe Cottage
By Helen & Dogs on 10-Jun-2025I have just returned from a lovely long weekend in Nutcombe Cottage with my two dogs. It is a beautiful and peaceful setting, the cottage was extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. The garden and field beyond were amazing and very handy to exercise the dogs. The cottage is located near wonderful walks and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Unfortunately it rained on one of the days but I was more than content to relax in the cottage and spend time there reading and just enjoying the view. By the way, the cottage had the best shower I have ever come across in a holiday cottage! Thank you

By Julie Sparkes on 05-Jun-2025Just wanted to say thank you for offering these beautiful cottages to rent. We booked into Nutcombe Cottage and from the moment we drove down the lane on our arrival, we knew we were about to stay in a beautiful place. It was perfect for our dog as the garden is contained and everything was provided for all we needed for him including a dog tag with the cottage address details. I so enjoyed our evening walk in the large dog walking area, with spectacular valley views. The delicious cream tea on arrival was such a great welcome and everything you would need for a holiday was there, the beds were so comfortable too. We loved doing the coastal path walk from Combe Martin to ilfacombe and saunton sands was a great place to walk the dogs. We loved it so much, we will definitely be returning. Thank you so much.
Nutcombe Cottgae
By Srah, Mark Toby & Oscar & Dogs on 24-Apr-2025What a great time we had at Nutcombe Cottage over Easter having spent 4 nights with our 2 boys aged 10 and 12, it had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable with a very welcome huge L-shaped sofa in the living room! The cottage is situated on the hillside in the valley that runs down to Combe Martin with spectacular views. Despite one day of rain when we took refuge in Ilfracombe's historic and nostalgic cinema we were able to explore the local area and take in a number of popular walks during the week. I'd encourage anyone who'd like a comfortable, friendly and welcoming base from which to explore Exmoor and the surrounding area to stay at Jackie and David's lovely cottage.
Nutcombe Cottage
By Jules, Mark & Two Dogs on 02-Sep-2024We can only echo what has already been said - in addition for us: great enclosed dog area, large hilly field on the property for exercising the dogs (& us), lovely touch scones & tea on arrival which we had on the sunny terrace overlooking lovely peaceful scenery. Very clean and well equipped cottage. Lots of places to visit in the local area. We very much enjoyed our stay (beginning Sept 24) and can definitely recommend the cottage with its enclosed safe garden, a great place for adults and 4 legged friends!
Nutcombe Cottage
By Laura, David Sam & Ozzy the dog on 04-Oct-2024Returned home today after a weeks stay in Nutcombe Cottage. What can we say - it’s a beautiful cottage, inside and out. The interior felt homely & cosy. Beds were super comfy! The location is just stunning, secluded enough that you feel you’re in a little peaceful, paradise valley but also only a few minutes drive from Combe Martin with shops, pubs and the beach! Brilliant fast Wi-Fi and tv with plenty of channels kept a teenage boy happy. Jackie and David are friendly and welcoming hosts - and we loved the personal touch of the “welcome cream tea” after a long journey! Our dog LOVED the garden - a well sized private enclosed garden, plus the enclosed dog garden for a run off the lead AND the bigger, beautiful meadow further down to enjoy! David’s own garden is gorgeous and it’s clear he works so hard to maintain this. We will definitely be coming again - the perfect relaxing break we all needed.
Nutcombe Cottage
By Steve & Family on 25-Aug-2024Had a lovely week in Nutcombe Cottage, beautifully laid out, lovely cream tea on arrival. The setting is blissfully peaceful, and will definitely be coming back. The rolling Devon Hills view out the windows just made it the more special, felt so private even though you have neighbours. Plenty to do in the local area, went Kayaking to Caves and the beaches are sublime. Literally cannot fault the entire holiday. Big Thank you to the Hosts for giving us the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful Barn conversation. The owners were always helpful & kind.
