Leave ReviewPerfect relaxation
By Thomas Klintoe on 19-Sep-2025My wife and I visited The Courtyard for a week in August. It was the perfect place for us to relax. Highlights are the outside areas. The beautiful courtyard offering both areas for sun and shade as well as a newly refurbished pool large enough for swimming as well as a barbecue for the nice warm evenings. The surrounding walls offers privacy in an already very calm area. We enjoyed the nearby town of Eymet. Market days and a variety of restaurants to be reached in 10-15 minutes. Highly recommended for just relaxing or as a base for exploring the area and it's many castles and villages. Kind regards Mr&Mrs Klintøe, Copenhagen Denmark
Wonderful stay in the Perigord
By Shani Clarke on 18-Aug-2025We had a lovely time staying at the Courtyard. The location is very peaceful and surrounded by countryside . However local town of Eymet was only 10 mins away and was truly entertaining with markets, bars ,restaurants and array of artisan shops. We also took a canoe ride in Bergerac which was fun for us all. The house worked really well as its a large 4 bedroomed house but also has a separate lockable area where our friends stayed. It was also a nice mix of mod cons yet rustic features as well. Weather when we went was very hot so the pool was a relief! There were plenty of areas to sit and sunbathe around the courtyard and we never felt crowded in any way. We took our Labrador with us and he had plenty of room to mooch around the grounds and find shade. I would also advise that you look at other towns and villages in the region, ie Duras, as there is a lot to see and do in the wider area and hundreds of excellent restaurants. All in all thoroughly enjoyable and we are already planning our next trip there.
Perfect getaway
By Holly Blake on 18-Aug-2025I had a lovely stay at the Courtyard in July ’25 The gardens are beautiful and the property is set in a quite hamlet. It’s located just a short drive from Eymet which has a great market every weekend and lots of excellent shops bars and restaurants nearby. The house has all the amenities you could need and is finished to a high standard throughout, with welcoming feel and homely decor. It’s perfect for anyone looking for a restful place to stay whilst they get to know the delightful Dordogne area.
